New third party company Tryace Toys, via their Weibo account, have just revelaed images of the color prototype of their TT-01 Commander (G1 Optimus Prime).
This non-transforming action figure (first revealed at SGC 2019) is a highly stylized rendition of G1 Optimus Prime. While not able to transform, this figure brings us a fine an detailed finishing, a metal inner frame, light-up Matrix, opening chest, and a great posability. According to the Weibo post, this figure will also include knives, axes, guns, a jetpack, visual communication screens, and a display stand. For those wondering about the scale, this action figure is about 33 cm tall and it’s planned for release by January 2021.

Thought I had him preordered- not sure how I missed him.
Any place that still has him for $150?

In my experience TCP seems to have better tolerances than figures I've bought overseas, but that's true for all domestic purchases. I think it's just the handling – In a big palette they won't get shaken up like they will individually, and then there's temperature and the like to account for as well.
As for this guy – I like the design a lot overall, but the head doesn't do it for me at all.

Does it seem like the figures sold by TCP have better joint tolerance (particularly in the hips and knees) than the ones from ShowZ, or is just QC lottery? ShowZ is out of stock but it looks like some other Chinese sellers still have him available for much cheaper than TCP… I was originally planning to get the upcoming Banana Force Optimus to pair with FlameToys Optimus, but this Tryace one seems worlds better painted. Yet I feel like there's something a BIT off about the proportions in general compared to Banana Force and FlameToys, but I can't put my finger on it…

Awesome! I got mine a few months ago and was blown away by how good this guy looks. I agree 100% he needs ratchets in the knees. Mine were pretty loose so I applied a few coats of clear nail polish into the knees. I guided it into the gaps with a razor blade and now he holds any pose.

i cant wait for mine to arrive. Good looks like another throw away box. No space for any more cardboard

I just got this guy in from @ShowZStore
First impressions are that it is a gorgeous, well painted figure. Could use some ratchets in a perfect world, but I am blown away by the articulation (particularly the ab crunch), so I can live without the ratchets.
Only thing is man…did this take forever to arrive. ShowZ shipped it on February 28th…and it didn't arrive in Virginia until May 27th. That is about 3 months worth of transit time. Thankfully, mine arrived in great shape…so I guess I can't complain.

Just got mine today. Knee joints are pretty loose. Does anyone know a trick to tightening die-cast joints???

The hips and knees are solid, but not ratcheted. I don't think this would hold up to one legged kick (there is a good amount of heft in the legs)

Just got mine in from the Chosen Prime, here are a couple of shots. I need to pick up some batteries for the eyes and matrix

If you paid for it a month ago, you paid for it during a 20-day long national holiday where shipping companies and pretty much everything shut down to celebrate Chinese New Year.
Not saying that you shouldn't expect prompt shipping, just that from Feb 1-20, managing expectations until early March is forced onto us lol. Hope it gets to you soon.

Do not buy from Show Z! I paid for mine over a month ago and it was just accepted by the post office. It took them over 30 days to ship an item that was in stock and ready to ship. WTH ShowZ

Yeah, that thing looks absolutely stunning, and with some solid articulation to boot.

Mine came from The Chosen Prime

I looked at it again and it is indeed paint wear. Doesn’t really stand out or bother me in person though. Just not noticeable enough.
