Well, no, but actually yes
Honestly, distribution's kinda all over the place right now. Some people are seeing Kingdom wave 2 stuff in stores right now, others haven't even seen wave 1. Imo, the best way to get figures right now might be to order them, which is something I never thought I'd say

Has SS72 Starscream hit retail?
Night Flame
It's fairly accurate to the movie if you can't tell the difference between this:

and this:

That undercarriage "wing" is completely disproportionate and really throws off the look of the alt mode for my eyes.
Gumblor Gimbles
its fairly accurate to the movie, as has been stated

That's a stretch: New figure reveal coming on November 5th Via Ozformers – SS-72 Starscream (Bumblebee)
Edit: It's close, but the part that people have complaints about, the bottom wing, is still off from its intended look. The vents near the cockpit seem to be missing too. I personally think it's fine for what it is, but I wouldn't say it's "near spot-on".
SPLIT LIP
Starscream's design was perfect for his quick landings and hit-and-run attacks from the first movie, from the expert landing on the bridge to his badass landing in the streets and the dogfight with the F-22s.
And then he never did anything like that again. In fact he even fails to stick a landing in ROTF, tripping when the Twins and Bumblebee are driving past him.
Night Flame
There's a difference between the thin-wedge hanging off the bottom of the CG version, and the large and thick chunk of kibble hanging off the toy. Some people can see past that, some can't. For me personally, it's a big strike against an otherwise nice looking toy.
mx-01 archon
I like how it's essentially equal parts bird and gorilla, perfectly encapsulating his physicality, both in his air superiority and agility, and his thuggish brutality. In the first movie especially, he immediately reads as being dangerous as all hell.
He gets neutered for sure in the following movies, when they lean too hard into the simpering coward personality from the G1 cartoon.
XaxisGuy
I love Bayverse designs. I also like Knightverse and G1 as well for different reasons. Starscream’s design was very cool and looked very functional as a flying alien. Kinda like a bird

"DoritoScream" is legit one of my favourite movie designs. Sure, it's not immediately recognizable as Starscream, but it's a perfect conflux of function, form, and character for the purposes it was designed for. Any doubts about the design when it first leaked were immediately put to rest once we saw it in action at Hoover Dam and the Mission City battle.

I love both mode. Wondering if they will also make Shockwave and Soundwave.

Means it’s not that ugly
HAL237
If you have an issue with the jet mode, take it up with the CG animators of the film, because the SS alt mode is a damn near spot-on rendition of the design.
Arrogant Arachnid
robot modes okay ig
jesus that jet mode is sad as shit

My gosh, people. If someone doesn't like the figure, that's their right. Whether it's accurate to the model or not, it's their right.
Me, personally, I'll be buying it (though I'm not 100% feeling it) and have it preordered, but I can certainly understand why others don't.
Aside from SS86, SS as a whole is starting to feel "meh". I moved. They're still packed away. I have no desire to get 'em out. ;_;
Chaos Muffin
Ive been spoiled. If this was the first time seeing this design as Starscream I’d be flipping out.
I still love Blitzwing, and his skinny legs were the only thing that bothered me.
This one fixes all that , so why am I not as excited as I should be?
IronPrime2169
Most excited for Skywarp. Since one of the leakers said that he would be late 2021, I’m expecting a June-ish reveal, with a November/December release date
HAL237
I love how they finally managed to replicate the “bell bottoms” look that the seekers’ legs had in Bumblebee. In contrast, SS Blitzwing’s lower limbs are way too scrawny.
T-Hybrid
I'm still one of the people on here who firmly believes at one point Blitzwing was Starscream and then Hasbro balked late in the game because they weren't sure yet if it was a reboot or not and didn't want to muddy the waters by killing off a guy who was both prominent in later films and could be leveraged for future films in the event they went with the full reboot.
From a story-telling standpoint it'd make sense that one of the head Seekers would continue his pursuit of Bee to Earth rather than some mook.
GAUGE
Ugly.
About as ugly as Dorito Starscream.
