i would normally be one of the first to throw pictures into the mix of the prototypes but nope not getting involved this time just sitting here laughing
Liampope
The pauldrons dont tab but can sit there. The cape just sits over the back flap and goes on fine.
Sammael
Hm, but pauldrons require additional slots/tabs which MP-03's shoulder did not have?
Liampope
Oooh, what popped this thread back up? Havent been in for several days…
Catches up…
Siiiigh… another frikkin debate on what version number MP-52 is/should be…
[Wing_Saber-X]
Sweet! Thanks for the confirmation, dude.
You know what would be better? That this new ver. 2.0, hyper toon accurate Masterpiece Screamer would be able to fit the same cape accessory!
Sy-Rein
Just a side note here. The Cape accessory from MP-11 fits perfectly on the MP-03 mold. The crown obviously doesn’t fit since they remoulded the head but the Cape most assuredly fits both versions. My Wal-scream has been wearing MP-11S’s Cape for a few years now.
ILoveLuci4
Yer tilting at windmills, Brother.
It's the third (or more) version, but it's 2.0. Seems pretty goddamn simple.
[Wing_Saber-X]
This.
Fenrys
Yea, it's pretty strange but that's tfw for ya
SPLIT LIP
Ah, my bad. But still, you continued to argue when it was clearly explained.
I mean, the arms and head were retooled. You shouldn't be able to fit them. A retool means some of the toy is new, just not all of it.
Did you perhaps mean redeco or repaint?
lord ginrai
Lol, this is fun! It's like the exact opposite of those people that insisted MP Tigatron was a remold of Cheetor.
Aaaaaanyway, that Starscream 2.0 sure looks great, doesn't he? June can't get here quickly enough!
mx-01 archon
Screw TakaraTomy. Anybody with functioning eyeballs can see the reused parts.
What a strange argument to make, especially when a good number of TF retools are for the express sake of adding additional functionality.
IgnikaMarcus
That wasn't me.
Fenrys
Yea, sure, takara doesn’t know how to differentiate a remold from a ground up new mold maybe the head and where the cape connects might be some of those altered parts?
GUIGUI
The thing is, It's not a retool, at all. You can't even fit the cape and crown accessories of MP-11 to MP-03. They are different molds.
It's just that Takara/Tomy is wrong about it. But I will no longer blame TFW2005 for it.
SPLIT LIP
I mean, when you consistently refute the simple facts stated, and even continuing to belabour the argument after the fact, yes, that’s making a big stink.
The conversation should’ve ended with “it’s 2.0 because TakaraTomy said so. Retools are not considered 2.0’s because they’re not wholly original.” That was like the first thing said after you asked the question. (You didn’t even ask a question about the numbering, you just said TFW should stop referring to it by its official designation)
IgnikaMarcus
So me seeing why others would call it such = making a big stink?
Alright. Whatever.
[Wing_Saber-X]
I don't care why others are arguing calling this totally newly engineered and designed Starscream by, all I know is that I want to buy it when it comes out next summer.
SPLIT LIP
So if you don’t care how the numbering system works then why are you so adamant about it being a 3.0?
You can’t just make a big stink and then shrug off logic as “I don’t care.”
Cyclonus79
A retool is not considered a new mold . Which is exactly what MP-11 was . Hence , this all new remolded version of Starscream being version 2.0 .
