Courtesy of Comicbook.com we have our first look at the highly expected Transformers Studio Series 86 Jazz And Hot Rod for your viewing pleasure.
The classic G1 characters from the very first Transformers movie from 1986 are coming into the Studio Series line. We finally have clear images of these new figures in both modes as well as the packaging. These figures will have their own numeration, different to the regular Studio Series collection.
SS 86-04 Voyager Hot Rod looks amazing and includes a plethora of accessories like his laser guns, buzzaw, Matrix and a cool light effect for the Matrix. He includes an inner cardboard to recreate the scene when Hot Rod opens the Matrix.
SS 86-01 Deluxe Jazz finally gets a totally G1 inspired new mold that we are sure will please old-timer fans as well as new ones. He includes a cardboard background inspired by the “Moonbase One Destruction” scene from The Transformers: The Movie.
These figures will be available for at most major toy retailers and for pre-order on Friday October 16, 2020. Stay tuned with TFW2005 for more updates!

I cant either. I was just going to say, based upon the release of DOTM Soundwave, there is no excuse for Que.
Not even on the trademark side of the argument. Releasing him in the same line where the "Bumblebee movie Wheeljack" doesn't create a problem as "Mirage" was still released under "Dino"
"Wheeljack" can easily be released under "Que"
To restate the obvious anyway.
I don't know what the hold up is either. Now "Hatchet"…that thing might be an engineering nightmare. But all this is a conversation for the movieverse Studio series thread.

Then i can't for the life of me figure out what the delay is?

There's no need to fudge Que's alt mode, as they have the Mercedes license, unlike Ferrari's

I wouldnt be happy but would accept a dark repaint of the TLK Scorn. Fudge Ques alt mode if they have to so he gets made. It was fine with Dino. Release Ironhide. Slug Strafe…..Still PLENTY of live action to do but im one of the people getting sick of SS 86.

I kind of have to agree. While I am loving the new G1 Dinobots, my hope was to have seen Slug, Strafe and Scorn before hand.
Maybe they will consider it once the AOE 10 Year anniversary approaches? they are running out of characters to do which would be why
they are fazing out the movieverse in place of 86 and Rise of the beasts. the transition makes sense. I had just hoped to see DOTM Que and Hatchet before they finished up.

I know this comment is from last November but someone ended up liking one my comments that I left on here so I explored the thread a little. Just wanna say, if you want to see genuine frustration, go talk to the live action movie fans who are STILL waiting for Hasbro, who has worked diligently to get the G1 Dinobots complete since G1 was shoehorned into Studio Series BARELY a year ago, to do another Bayformer Dinobot (Hint: It’s been four years since AOE Grimlock was released).

Imagine if Blurr could sing…

Snarl is a ninja

All 6 Seekers were released during Earthrise, but only *one* was a standard retail figure.
Skywarp/Cracker, Thrust/Dirge, and Ramjet were retailer exclusives.
World Turtle
same. And I’m not kidding about wanting more Dinobots. I’m on a major Dinosaur kick and therefore a major Dinobot kick.
I would love for them to check off a few more of the Dinosaur sub-groups. In this case Pachycephalosauria, Ankylosauria, and Hadrosauria (Preferably Parasaurolophus).
Obsidian X
Yes. An official Paddles retooled from the coming Sludge would most likely make me cry.

SNARL FOR THE WIN!! He got shafted with the 10 seconds he appeared and nowhere else in the movie. He's part of the Dinobots. Why, WHY did he not make the cut?! But seriously, if Hasbro doesn't do him, there's gonna be a LOT of rage from people I feel.
And darn it, that Hot Rod variant better not just be some stupid recolor. Waste of a slot. Make him a Targetmaster and release variants of Kup and Blurr as such
Preposterous
I really wouldn't want SS to delve into "more color accurate" nonsense. It's excusable with Scourge/Sweeps; Optimuses and Bumblebees from different movies also made some sense, but releasing Hot Rod in a slightly different shade a year later would be a huge waste, especially with how valuable voyager slots currently are in SS.

Man. I miss Botbots so much.
