Flame Toys, via their Twitter account, have uploaded images of the test shot and a colored sample of their impressive Kuro Kura Kuri IDW Megatron.
This is a non-transformable action figure, highly posable, with top quality finishing and materials. This is an impressive take on the Stealth Bomber Megatron from the first IDW Transformers comics by artist Don Figueroa. The design includes an impressive pair of wings which some fans may think were inspired by the upgraded Stealth Megatron who fought against the D-Void in the IDW Chaos story.
Kuro Kara Kuri Megatron should be ready to ship this month and you can still pre-order him via our sponsors links below. See all the mirrored images after the break and then sound off your impressions on the 2005 Boards!

The way these figures are assembled made them look really beautiful, with no exposed pins or screw…but sometimes you have to do maintenance on them (happened for me with Drift) and just wish there was a screw to tighten or some way to get access to the internals.

Oh nooo
Can you contact them and ask for a replacement arm? Maybe you could disassemble it and fix it if they provide the parts

Man, I am really pissed. Not sure if someone has encountered this before. I was trying to remove the gauntlet on his left hand and I must have pulled a bit too hard and as a result his left elbow is now quite a bit looser than his right one. So I think that metal piece above the elbow was originally attached to something inside the upper arm, but now it's not hence the looseness. Ah well there's nothing like a ruined 400 dollars figure.

I'd be prepared to get your fingers hurt a bit. Megatron is sharp!
Other than that there is probably nothing to worry about other than what Retroheavy mentioned about batteries and corrosion if you're going to keep him in package most of the time.

Finally my Megs is shipping from Sideshow. Loooooooong drama for something I paid in full for over a year ago. Thankfully I waited to give USA Gundam any more orders until they fullfilled the first. I'd have a stack of Gundam orders from Metal builds and Mazingers I'd be worried wouldn't get fullfilled. More money for BBTS as usual.

megs is a pretty fun 3k figure. Lots of accessories. If you plant on putting right back in the box the I would recommend to just mess with the figure and make don’t take all the accessories out of the box. Also avoid installing batteries to prevent corrosion. Just appreciate the figure for a bit without having to fiddle with all the extra bits. He is awesome!

I finally bought this holy grail of mine from Sideshow and it should be here Monday. So hyped, but also cautious. This’ll be up there with Hot Toys Endgame Iron Man and Cap as one of the most expensive (at retail anyway) figures I own; certainly the most expensive Transformer. Never had a 3K figure before, and though I’ve seen many reviews on YouTube, anything to reiterate/emphasize from the group here?
I really wanna ensure it lasts indefinitely..at least within my lifetime lol. Any tips/cautions/restrictions would be appreciated. I’ll probably have to put it back in the box once I check it out and mess with it for a little, bc I don’t have a good setup at my apartment here while training to display it appropriately, so hopefully it’s fine sitting in the box for a few months. Gonna try to transport it back home during holiday leave.

Those part were lost, not retailers fault, unfortunately

Man, FINALLY got my charge back from USA Gundam. Took forever because they sent the paperwork to my old address by mistake. Now I can FINALLY get Megatron.
BTW, I found out that My credit card company never informed USA GUNDAM until 2 weeks ago of the dispute. So to them I was just still waiting. They have no intention of ever filling those orders and are simply getting their restocking fee. I'll never shop there again. And they are right down the street from my best friend who just moved to J-ville. Annoying.
Megatron118
The face is exclusive, so it’s not missing from yours unless you bought it from D4. Although the back cap should’ve been included as far as I know. Have you tried contacting the retailer you bought it from, or contacting D4 directly?

I know it's a long shot, but I am looking for two pieces missing from mine (pictured):
– little back cap
– bonus roaring face

Got my order canceled and refunded at USAGS, money should be hopefully appearing back in my account in a few days. Glad to have this snafu over with; if I ever use USAGS again, I’m only gonna buy something that’s in stock. As for Megatron, I’ll hopefully purchase him elsewhere at the end of the week
divinecomedy
We use your money to fund our operation and we only charge 5% for the priviledge. You are welcome!!!
Megatron118
Oh. Yeah, I might’ve trusted a little too willingly, but it’s because I heard such good things about them. I know them not receiving stock isn’t their fault, I’m still super pissed at Flame Toys for that. But I don’t appreciate how they’ve been ignoring the issue too. Like, when were they gonna call it quits, refund people and say “hey, it appears we aren’t receiving this”?
Blue Meanie
Thats correct. By sitting on my money I mean paying up front. Its not like it's earning interest but still.
Megatron118
Perhaps I misunderstood their ultimatum. I thought the 5% fee would just be a charge to refund the money to the original payment method; they don’t sit on anything (?)
Blue Meanie
Yeah. The prices were good and they arent too far from me in FL. But if you cant fullfill orders on time, over order something that was released, you shouldn't charge a cancelation fee. You can before release date, if its 4 months past release and you cant fill orders you refund the full amount. It just looks shadey. Im not giving anyone 18 bucks to sit on my money and give me nothing. Id rather cut all ties. I was going to switch to them for my Furai, Getters and Gundam because their prices were good. Oh well.
divinecomedy
Sorry to hear about the whole nuisance with USAGS. The whole 5% thing is so stupid because that's a sure way to lose customers.
Megatron118
They responded and indeed gave the 5% cancellation fee or store credit. 5% of $367 is about $18, so it’s not a huge loss, and I’d rather just end this prolonged annoyance and just buy it elsewhere instead of waiting for the dispute to settle with my card. But this could’ve all been avoided if Flame Toys didn’t have distribution issues
