Third party company WeMakeWorks, via their Weibo account, have revealed images of the color prototype of their next project: TH-01 Trojan Horse (helicopter Waspinator).
This is a very original design based in a fan-art by Instagram user @theamazingspino. The concept recreates Waspinator with a Sikorsky s-97 Raider helicopter alt mode. There are some comparison images with other toys which make us think this figure is about Voyager size. Not much information available yet, but stay tuned with TFW2005 for more updates.
Update: Additional prototype and alt mode images added via Weibo.
See all the images after the jump and then share your impressions on the 2005 Board!

They've had a Dinobot as a modern Buffalo MPCV prototype shown for about 3yrs now. Not sure of any designs other than that.

Do we know if this company is doing any other figures? I know it’s unlikely, but I’d love to see Spino’s Tarantulas design from them. Could be awesome as hell imo.

Got this guy today. He seems pretty cool haven't transformed him yet. But I got two right hands on my copy. Already requested a left hand. But by any chance does anyone have two left hands? Ill trade you. Or a spare left hand. lol…

Be gentle with it if you do buy it. It's not made of cheap materials or anything but it's got some small parts. Some people have also had misassembly issues/ getting two parts of the same side(I.E., two right shoulder pads) which gets in the way of transformation. Speaking of which, transformation can be a struggle the first one or two times. Personally I think it's fine once you get used to it, just gotta take your time, others may disagree and say it's a nightmare though, to each their own. I say it's worth getting though, it looks great in both modes and it has some awesome posability.
Edit: got ninja'd lol

The first transformation is a pain in the ass. After that, you'll find it's a pain in the ass but you'll at least know what you're doing.
Robot leg calf section tends to come undone which can make the legs irritating to deal with.
A lot of people have the helicopter doors switched in assembly which makes it impossible to line up until you realize left/right are swapped.
Other than that, alt and bot mode are beautiful. No hidden belly kibble in the alt mode.

With the rest of your cool looking stuff…

I’m very tempted to buy this. I’m a big Waspinator fan. Is there anything I should know before buying him? Plus where to put him in my collection? I guess I could place him with the Vehicons?

Apologies for the bump. I'm downsizing things and looking to offload this guy. He's loose but has his box and such, only been transformed twice. He is missing the small window on his right arm panel, but he's otherwise complete. He's a great figure, but he just doesn't fit in with my collection. Thinking about $75 shipped to CONUS, but I'm flexible. Shoot me a PM if you're interested.

Yeah, especially try ShowZ. Since you didn't buy from them, they may ask for a bit of $. Mine was missing one of those one arrival – they got me the whole panel it was attached to, nice and secure (as some other parts). Took a bit of time, but they're the best!

oof, most online retailers would be able to help you out. Not sure how it works in this case, maybe you'd have to directly contact trojan horse

Does anyone know what the best option is if we say have a missing piece/part that broke?
The one I picked up at TFcon took me a good chunk of the weekend to transform, and in the process one of his clear purple headlamps came loose from the piece it was glued to. And despite my trying to be careful, at some point Sunday evening it got lost somewhere while I was putting him back into botmode to pack for travel.
Not that I'll transform this figure all that much but I wouldn't mind rectifying this and I'm not sure if the manufacturer or the retailer is the best option here.

So I actually picked mine up for the first time since I got it and transformed it again, honestly it wasn't nearly as bad now that I'm used to it. To be perfectly honest I don't mind it, even though it obviously does have its issues. I'm just going to chalk it up to this being the company's first figure, hopefully they'll be able to release their second and it'll have the kinks worked out.

Holy crap…I had a day with this thing, and man I didn't enjoy it in the least. I had a few malformed parts that I left off while transforming. This thing is Sonicron 2.0.
EDIT: I hope to get a vid up soon for this just to stress some "crap" points on this figure but I have a few16hr work days upcoming, so don't know what I can accomplish. If I skip dinner I can shave off 30mins-1hr each night. (I have a 2 hr window of relaxation on my normal 12hr days )

Got a shipping notice from ShowZ today for my parts for this guy. Hooray!
I hope TH sends the right ones!
DominiksGeekyLife
It feels like literal toddlers assembled this figure.
sdmacleod
Bummer. Yep, you're correct. You need to request parts. I'd suggest you go over him completely and check for anything else first though!

I finally got around to opening him up, and it looks like I got duplicated shoulder canopy pieces. I just wanted to confirm the shoulder piece circled in red is incorrect, right? The protrusion on the hinge connecting the plastic piece should be facing outwards? And there's nothing I can do other than request replacement parts?

Check the box carefully, as well as the area around where you took it out- that thumb falls off really easily, but if you find it you can fix that problem pretty easily, see my recent post about it above. Good luck!
Faxie
One of my thumbs was missing. Oh well… don't really care.
Transformation wasn't enjoyable unfortunately… will probably get easier the more you do it, but getting everything to line up and tab is difficult. Also, the translucent pieces at the botton front are easy to knock out… had to glue back in.
Not sure if I'll get the next in the lineup… depends on the transformation. I got this one because it looks cool and wasn't too expensive, but these kinds of transformations happen way too often nowadays, and they are slowly taking away my enthusiasm for the hobby…

Mine got returned to sender, no idea why. It was literally out for delivery two weeks ago, and now it's been sitting in California for a week and a half. Anyone have experience with this? I contacted showzstore about a week ago but no response.
