Thanks to the detective work of our very own Jtprime17 we can report some new Transformers Kingdom Walmart listings. We have listings for Core Rattrap, Deluxe Cheetor, Voyager Optimus Primal and Leader T-Rex Megatron with prices for each class.
- Core: $9.99
- Deluxe: $22.99
- Voyager: $29.99
- Leaders: $49.99
We can notice that Deluxe class toys have increased compared to the $19.99 price tag of recent lines. This seems to be in line with price increases for other Hasbro brands.

…yeah, i quit visiting walmart mid-2020 after it became clear that they had negligible intention to restock from the 2019 holiday season, and the couple of times i’ve passed-through since have exhibited no change…

Awesome, thanks for checking! Yeah covid continues to be a nightmare, been losing my mind wfh for a year

I phoned toys r us looking for runabout and they said they havent got anything new because ontario is on lockdown and that's where they have to go through to get to the rest of Canada, they said they would be getting new stuff in when ontario is out of lockdown

Pretty much, or a lack of reordering on walmarts part or some sort of hangup in the distribution network. Ultimately though, it's not really evidence of a line doing poorly because walmart is pretty notoriously bad at restocking. Hell, the action figure shelves in my local cities walmarts have been about 50% bare for the better part of a year.

Wouldn't a lack of stock suggest it's selling well? I've seen stores with full displays be stripped clean by the time I come back the following week.
Including shelves of SS86 Hot Rod.

It's also possible that walmart just sucks at getting stock in and doesn't have much to do with how well transformers is doing

I don't think Transformers sales are doing well in Canada. Walmart.ca doesn't have any retail stock its all 3rd party sellers, very slim pickings at Toysrus.ca, and same story at Amazon.ca

Same for me. Warpath and Blackarachnia are musts but with taxes, thats basically 25 for a 15$ toy. I can deal with a 5$ upcharge for a high-end legends toy but not a 10$ one.

The Christmas season could have something to do with it too. I’m recalling a few years back prices hiked right before the holidays, and the deluxes went on near permanent sale/markdown until the end of the season. Maybe that was the TF Prime line?
DarkRed401
as a layman there maybe factors im missing however my reasons for my 2nd theory are:
1. the price increase only affected deluxes
2. according to pixelmaster(if i recall) and as seen with target, Hasbro left the increase completely optional for retailers
3. the prices were increased then cut prio to hitting shelves
4. its seems hasbro has it set up where prices will increase every new trilogy

I’d be curious what the story is there. I was thinking about this with Huffer and Warpath in particular. Partsforming mini figures at $23 finally crossed the line for me. At $20 those two are back in the solid “maybe” column.

My deluxes had their price matched to $19.89 about 2 weeks after they went up. Partly why I went with them for Wave 1 preorders.
