The final scene, celebrating Windblade\'s return, feels like something scripted for a separate mini-arc (the topic of episodes 318-19, 321-22, 324), not for a season finale. For the larger Autobot-Decepticon conflict, we\'re not sure if Our-Megatron is totally dead, if anyone else rises to lead the Decepticons, or if there\'s a rapprochement between the factions. A lot of Season 3 feels like a trailer for a full-scale show: New toy-character! New Cybertron biome! New Cthulhoid titan! Regrettably, \"let\'s cram too much story into an episode, and too much dialogue to let important lines breathe\" seems to be SOP for American animation for the past half-decade at least, from Star vs. the Forces of Evil to Star Trek: Lower Decks.
In episode 325, emerging from the first of five teleport beams is… Tarn! In 326, will the other four beams reveal the rest of IDW\'s DJD? No… just more copies (by this point, can we reasonably expect more CG models?) and they\'re not \"Tarn,\" merely \"perfect Decepticons, born only to carry out my will.\" So, to misquote G1 Megatron, \"a warrior doesn\'t need a personality; just a good, strong body.\" \"Look at them, Optimus. They are everything I ever dreamed of…\" Did Megatron dream of an obedient army of faceless clones? That\'s not consistent with his motivation in most recent iterations, which is to overthrow an oppressive social order. (I\'ve forgetten what his motivation was demonstrated to be in the various flashback eps throughout the series.)
Since Both Megatrons are able to use the so-called Autobot Matrix of Leadership, I guess it\'s really just the Transformer Matrix, constructed prior to the factions, and filled with named Primes who predate the schism. Now, as to why it emitted a magenta beam in the Optimus-vs-Megatron fire-hose fight …
Other-Megatron declares to our Megatron, \"Thief! You are not worthy of being me!\" Good line delivery, even if it\'s a sentiment shared by most multi-universal selfish-supervillians. \"I haven\'t seen Autobots for millennia.\" Or eons, maybe? A four million-year history is hard enough to fill, but CYB firmly established that the Ark crashed over 65 million years ago, what with Grimlock recruiting dinosaurs — this presents an obstacle to naturalistic dialogue, if the characters can casually deal with megayear separations. \"We last met 11.56 million years ago, and you still owe me for 3,700 drinks at Maccadam\'s.\"
I like the consistent characterization of Astrotrain over this half-dozen eps: he\'s a jerk at every level. When he departs with the defeated Other-Megatron, declaring, \"I\'ll keep this junkbucket imprisoned inside of me,\" Dead End observes (from experience), \"That\'s a terrible punishment.\"

Pretty fun series over all, they could have easily made these episodes 22 ish minutes long like the good ol days when toons had a decent to good story to them.
SlickPrime
Now if they could just fix the resolution on ep 18
Onslaught Phase 2
Seriously? is this really the end? LOL that ending. It is labeled as just season finale! Doesn't say series!
Left wide open with Astrotrain…
I wasn't sure who "the other one" was, but was hoping for something more than that, but interesting idea of where he came from in the context of a multiverse.
We don't even know what they're doing with the next series/show… perhaps it will be a sequel?
Requiem Prime
It got there but didn\'t exactly stick the landing. Feels like the closer got shoehorned into the restoring Windblade arc when they found out no 4th season was happening.
Even still they worked with what they had (mark on good writing) but it\'s missing the narrative followthrough. They closed the Windblade thing and not the aftermath of the warlord fueling the ongoing division being gone now. Yes, we know they could get over it from the quintesson arc, but Megatron quashed that progress.
Imagine Lord of the Rings rolled credits with Mt Doom erupting, just as Frodo is free from the ring\'s influence.

Where are our Perfect Deception Tarn figures, Hasbro? WHERE ARE THEY.

Siege had the resources to do something good and they blew it. Like those huge backdrops weren't cheap, the up-close detail on the characters wasn't cheap, the writing and direction is what was cheap for Siege. Working with 3D animation especially (on a budget that isn't movie scale definitely) should be about writing within your limits. Same way Toy Story was made 20 years ago. Instead it was written as an edgy fanfiction and the art design used those goofy CAD toy models.

Wish the final quarter of the season would have been expanded to a whole new season… but even so, glad for what we got. Odd that it ran for less time than RID. Curious what Hasbro comes up with next for the mainline show.
Lokimaru
Missed Galvatron moment.

Or stealth bomber Megatron. And that might have given the tarn clones a little context.
Rumblestorm
Guess that just further proves my point.
Tfcollector97
well it isn’t over there’s still the nezha spinoff and possible other content

Is it possible to have an ending other than blasting from The Matrix?
Megatron was really just preparing for Megatron-X to come, not really building a Cybertron for Decepticons?
Just as the past seasons, the ending is just a letdown.
captain N
That looked to be the end. Was it?

Given the animation of Siege, I could easily argue they should've recieved more budget/resources. I like the aesthetic of Siege but the animation could still be more fluid (and less clones).
But I absolutely love Cyberverse and would love even more budget thrown their way.

There are a number of open threads that could drive another series:
What happened to Astrotrain and Megatron-X after they left?
Where did the Insecticons go?
What happened on Earth after the bots left?
What happened to… Vector Sigma?
Bludgeon?
The Allspark of Megatron-X?
Dweller?
The list goes on…

I really liked the setpieces of this last season. They got so colorful, simplistic, and the emissive coloring (The energon glowage) is very vibrant. It's like G1 but far more geometric. With some better writing they could've lived up to better potential, but I enjoyed this series regardless of the last arc being too anti climatic. I'd put this series a bit below animated.
This is the show that should've received more resources instead of Siege.
Shepard Prime
Given how it ended, I wouldn't be surprised if they did continue this Universe under a different name.
