As Runamuck was my first ever transformer he has always been a favourite of mine. 
Both of these are a must buy for me.

Hell yeah he does, without a shadow of a doubt. Really liking how the orange pops a bit more thanks to the breakup between it and the black. And no way you can't have him without Runamuck! Like two peas in a pod, literally!

Yeah, like Rumble and Frenzy, they are a pair that always goes everywhere together. (Well except that one Season 3 episode where Runamuck was riding Blast Off Dr Strangelove style.  )

I remember those I wanted to get them but TFCC charged WAY too much for the time. I believe it was $100 a figure for each deluxe. At the time they were $7.87 at Walmart retail so it just didn't make a lot of sense. But indid like them. I like these more though lol

Despite my love for the Battlechargers, I simply could not justify signing up to the club, then waiting ages for their crappy shipping service (they had atrocious shipping outside the USA) to get a deluxe for like 100$. Instead I bought an extra RvtS Tracks and Wheeljack and was planning to remold/paint them myself. But never got around to do it, which in retrospect, I don't mind, given how good the new toys are.

One was the free membership figure for the year, the other was $54 which included the box that held both.

But you had to pay around 50$ for the membership too (or more). I never joined but a friend of mine in Slovakia did, and he told me despite there being far cheaper and trackeable options of shipping via USPS, they always shipped via some super expensive way. Furthermore, they never packed anything well, for example the TFCC comic he got always arrived bent and crumpled because they just tossed it in an envelope instead of a cardboard sleeve.
Compare this to Selects, where deluxe toys cost 20-22$ and can be easily purchased on BBTS even for those outside the USA… Hasbro did the right thing taking away this job from the Club.

Runabout looks like he could make a good stand-in for Scamper to go with Six-Gun! Now we just need a white tank…

But… Generations Metroplex already comes with a perfectly fine Legends Scamper. As for Slammer, he is coming in Kingdom, rumored to be a Warpath remold.

I like Runabout's looks enough to consider him, where Runamuck got a pass from me partly due to the white color feeling too simple for my tastes.The fake roof chest and hollow legs are what held me back on Runamuck as well, and Runabout having color in the real roof backpack somehow looks less offputting.

It doesn't hurt that Runabout has a 2-piece rifle where Runamuck's pistol is kind of bland – although the pics show Runabout with a combined rifle made from a red version of Runamuck's pistol plus his pistol, who knows if that's what we really get with Runabout or if Runamuck doesn't also get both accessories.

This shared mold reminds me a bit of the 2011 Tracks mold that got reused as Wheeljack. I do wish this mold had a sleeker vehicle mode, though. They're supposed to be roughly emulating the Lotus Esprit which is very sleek and raked and tapered, while this alt mode seems more like a sport sedan, flatter and thicker and kind of like a stubbier coupe version of an Aston Martin Lagonda.

That's fine, but most people like me will buy these for the character, not because they look good in this or that color.   Leaving one out would be like getting Frenzy but skipping Rumble, or not completing all 3 of the seekers.

Pretty annoyingly backwards to give Runabout Runamuck's orange, but that's Hasbro for you. Attention to detail still lacking. He looks good overall at least and finally correct heads for both.

He is red, the shoulders are translucent red, not orange. Plus Runamuck never had orange colors in most of his appearances, only the toy has it. I much prefer the pure white look, as he looks more uniform that way, like a Stormtrooper.

bruh Runabout is sooo much better looking thanks to the deco, while I still like Runamuck he looks quite boring compared to Runabout. Just the red and black look sooo nice. They could make a toy accurate 2 pack with toy heads and deco.

I think it is unlikely, their cartoon/comic heads have had sooo much more character unlike the expressionless visor-faces of the toys. Only the Dreamwave comics used those designs ever, and there, both of them have been just hi-then-die nobodies in the Brad Mick/Mad Brick comic. I doubt many people pine for those versions.
Hasbro has gone out of their way to make the car modes more toy accurate with the stripes already, which is a nice touch.

About Classics worth notta. When that kinda thing happens, I put it away til it's actually worth something again. It'll happen. Like my Energon collection for example my TRU Jetfire/Dreadwing 2 pack. Worth something, then worth more, then WAY less, then nothing, then had a considerable rise in the past 6 years, & NOW it fetches a pretty penny. Most UNICRON Trilogy figures do now..

Huh! Interesting. I assumed it'd be worth nothing now, with a much better Dreadwing out. I seen the prices of the – back then, incredibly sought after for the third party City Commander armor – white Classics Ultra Magnus plummet too, same for the Onslaught-into-Hardhead Ultra figure.
Unicron trilogy toys are worth a lot? I dunno, been trying to get rid of my Dark Crumplezone for ages. Nobody wants it.
Btw, on topic, I did sell my Cybertron Runamuck recently, now that we have better versions available, but not for much. THat mold (and its original Armada one) remains one of the worst TF molds ever.

No doubt thanks for the heads up! I never thought that though so is it ok to disagree? Lol obviously im kidding lol, but im curious what reference & source of Transformers does that come from? I still remember the number #21 Marvel Transformers comic from when I was a kid, and the gangster battlechargers were awesome to me then, & still are now. In the cartoon or was it tfcc itself or something? (Although I'm aware of tfcc comment you made has nothing to do with my last question)  

Well it does come from that issue. They act like punks and slackers, disobey their orders and just go on a cross-country vandalism spree, Runamuck even ends every other sentence with "heh" like Butt-head. The funny thing is, the issue came out years before Beavis and Butt-Head existed, even. So the similarity is likely just coincidental.

Really? Could have fooled me, they look really similar. The mold is showing age but I just personally prefer it to what we are getting now. But we are getting spoiled for choice  

I recently transformed them when doing comparisons with Earthrise Wheeljack. The old RvtS molds are really fiddly, you need to do things just right to close up the rear part, and snap in the doors… engineering certainly evolved since then.

Soo good.

Loving these guys, Runabout has always been my favourite of the two but like others have said… Can't have one without the other.

Now again, looking at these guys, it's pretty easy to see an easy remould for Chase, Freeway and Searchlight.

Make that two. Thinking of picking up both the Battlechargers as stand-ins until whoever in the 3P MP belt pops out their own versions.

I'll be 100% honest, part of me only wants Runabout. He has such good colors!!! but you also can't break up duos so I'll get them both. Same reason I bought Battletrap.

Yup good memories. ANY Transformers memories are good memories.   But I was thinking about BBTS @$100.00, (or more) each, with no freebies then. This was at a time, i.e. 2014, in Vermont, Visa & MasterCard made it illegal to register prepaid reloadable debit cards, any more. Cash cards if you tried (or try still now) registering them to address in Vermont or Alaska, you get canceled & have to wait 3 months for them to even acknowledge & send you back a check as a refund. ANYWAYS, I therefore lost out on any orders til they started selling vanilla one prepaid non reloadable cards around 2016 & then I started back up online buying.
