We have some quite different to our usual news to share with you, but we are sure it will also catch your attention for sure. Takara Tomy have been releasing new updated mold from their classic Diaclone line which was the origin of many of the original G1 Transformers toys.
As part of this new Diaclone Reboot, they have revealed a re-imagined DA-65 Battle Convoy V-Max. An amazing modern take on the Battle Convoy toy which was later known as G1 Optimus Prime. This mold uses several improved Diaclone concepts and ideas like pilots, bases, combining parts and more giving us a different and original new concept and design.

Hey all, this is a long shot, I know…
Does anyone here have a DA-65 that may have broken, and would be willing to sell for parts?
My copy has an arm that decided to self-destruct (the entire post connecting to the elbow sheared off).
I am really bummed, as there is no way I can afford a full figure to replace it.
If anyone has multiple copies, or has one they are looking to part out, please hit me up in my private messages.

Of all the posts I've read, some people experienced a little bit of yellow paint chipping on the knees. Outside of one trailer piece breakage, that's all I've seen.
The set, as well as nearly all of the line, is awesome and the QC issues aren't common.

After a long wait for EMS to become active again, I finally got mine in the mail the other day. As this is my first Diaclone Reboot figure, I don't really know what to expect in terms of build quality. In lieu of going back through this entire thread, are there any qc issues I need to look out for?

Not to derail this thread, but a dad PSA: I think one of the coolest things about these diaclone releases are the modularity and interchangeable play pattern. That said, I can’t justify the cost for myself, let alone my kiddos. If you like modular builds, but want something a bit more military than lego, I highly recommend Snap Ships. The individual sets are cool, but start putting two or three together and it gets crazy. My kid loves them and I would have mowed so many lawns in the 80s if something like that were available. They aren’t a direct descendant of Diaclone, but they have some of its DNA in them. There is a cleverness to the play pattern and thought somebody on this thread might be interested.
