Thanks for the reply. Hopefully it’s not delayed for too long. It looked pretty cool
Rakzo
Project Bear?
Jtprime17
Probably delayed.
jmagnus83
Yeah i guess. id be surprised with a Saturday drop but they have happened.
Fenrys
Could still go up tomorrow
jmagnus83
jtprime – Code Red didn't go up this month unless it goes up later today or tomorrow. Did you hear any chatter about it being pushed back into October or later?
omegafix
Ah ok, not for me
jmagnus83
yeah that whole thing is weird. I wonder if it is exclusive to Pulse since i don't see any EE Drop Zone dates that seem to match up.
TF Hot Rod
The funniest part about that thing is Hasbro "leaked" it themselves first at SDCC by having it in a Raffle.
jmagnus83
The Stranger Things collaboration figure. We've seen it but it hasn't been officially revealed yet
omegafix
Code Red?
jmagnus83
So this didn't pan out. Hoping we will see Code Red tomorrow. Otherwise i'm guessing it'll be part of the October reveals that are going to happen before the Studio Series wave 1 reveal at month end.
Dinobot Snarl
I think the legs could hide the whole tread system. But… it could be a hover tank…. like an origins version.
Fenrys
100% agreed, SSGE would be a better fit since Devastation Megatron is right there
That's pretty much the Devastation design, or the design from the Prime Wars Trilogy cartoons
There's no need to call people delusional. The entire point of Studio Series is allegedly to be screen accurate. Making Megatron a tank (which is something I am 100% for) would make more sense in a branch of Studio Series representing media where he actually turned into a tank, like in Devastation or the Prime Wars Trilogy, not in Studio Series 86.
AtomicGarden
Honestly ER Megatron is not that far off of being accurate. If he needs to be tank, they mostly needs to figure out how to hide the treads so they don’t end up as a giant backpack. Maybe this can be achieved better at leader budget, while he stay voyager size…+ accessories (gun mode to be held by others). Devastation Megatron is pretty much the perfect G1 tank Megatron lookwise.
omegafix
I have a feeling thats exactly what they will do, A Tank Alt mode that resembles his animation model in robot mode
butz
I could easily see an 86 Megatron happening as a tank with a reasonably accurate robot mode, and an accessory of his gun mode that can be held by other figures. Anyone insisting that Hasbro can't do it because it just has to be a gun (and gun only) for screen accuracy are fucking delusional. There's not some cosmic law of the universe guiding what they're allowed to release in this line. I think the abundance of Siege/ER derivative Megatron figures already out there is a far bigger barrier for them than whether they can do him as a tank.
TF Hot Rod
Yeah it will never happen. I get the thinking that Takara will make a 86 or CHUG G1 gun Megatron today but he's such a iconic character and that version especially that Hasbro's gonna want in on selling a 86 Megatron that I don't see it happening.
Fact.

Actually though. RotF Skids and Mudflap will get Studio Series figures, and possibly even their DotM decos before that ever happens.
