Third party company Toyworld is showing us, via Weibo, the next installments in their World War II series: TW-FS02 Hot Break (WWII Hot Rod) And TW-FS04 Roadblock (WWII Barricade).
These figures, planned for the Studio Series scale, are inspired by the World War II Transformers seen in The Last Knight. Both molds looks highly detailed and posable for their size, and we are sure you will be more than impressed with the images. To top it all, each figure will include small parts like a sofa, table, and more items for a great diorama or display. If you were wondering, Roadblock (WWII Barricade) will include his little partner Confusion (Frenzy). While not pictured, Toyworld confirmed that TW-FS05 World War I Skyfire is coming soon.
We still have no concrete information about price or release date, but stay tuned with TFW2005 for more updates!

I really hope barricade releases soon. He's the only one I have preordered and paid in full.
General Magnus
To be fair, if Prime had to have a WWII alt mode THAT would be the right one.

I'll buy the hell out of a movie Optimus who turns into a Dragon Wagon. I had completely forgot they were working on an Optimus

There was a grey prototype shown months ago. Brawl is supposed a Tiger I tank and Megatron, the Gustav railway gun.

Here ya go

It’s in the middle of the thread

I have not seen anything about a WWII Brawl or WWII Optimus Prime.
XaxisGuy
I don’t really remember but the figure name is Dragon Commander so that could be it.
General Magnus
Remind me, what was the alt mode for him? A Dragon Wagon if I am not mistaken?
XaxisGuy
Yeah, I’m also excited to see their WW2 Optimus!
General Magnus
I look forward to see their Brawl/Tiger I.

Was really into this line for its originality, but looks like I'll have to settle for just Barricade. $77 for a Studio sized figure is pushing it for me,
definitely can't do TW's $200 for Jetfire, cool as he is ShowZ points won't drop it enough.
just a transformers fan
studio series + WWII = better scaling and not mis-sized with the masterpiece toyline
XaxisGuy
That head sculpt tho. Sculpting looks epic but too rusty for my liking. Similar to Freedom Leader and possibly Knight Orion, the final product will be cleaner and less weathering and dirt.
Windsweeper II
I can see that.
Maybe they'll upscale them someday?

Yeah I also have Bee and Bulldog and love them. It's sad when there are only Hasbro and TW working on the SS line, while official SS is too far from MPM level, and TW is too slow to release theirs. New line from Lemontree looks interesting but also too small for SS.
harrismonkey
I could see your point, but TW is doing 5 or 6 characters at this size presently and having Bumblebee in hand I can tell you he blows away just about every official SS figure. I doubt there will ever bee a meaningful number of TW SS figures to replace MPM's with.
Many of TW's movie offerings are somewhere around MPM scale (I say many, but TW doesn't have many movie toys period so far).

If all those SS line figures can achieve this level of tranformation and details, I wouldn't mind drop my MP line and collect them. I think MP is a bit large, while legend is a bit small.
I really wish there will be some 3P companies produce G1 SS size as good as MS and NA are doing with their legend figures!
harrismonkey
I wish BB and Hot Rod were scaled at MPM size (and I wouldn't mind barricade either)

Tfsource isn’t known for its intelligence. Then again, they manage to practically scam everyone with their inflated prices, so maybe they do have some brains…
