Unfortunately due to the COVID-19 pandemic both TFcon Toronto 2020 and TFcon Chicago 2020 have been cancelled.
TFcon is very disappointed that they are unable to hold these events for their fans and supporters, this will be the first year since 2002 that there will be no TFcon.
All exhibitor bookings have been transferred to next year, no action is required. Anyone requiring a refund please email TFcon by the end of July or if you have any questions.
Please stay safe and we hope to see you all in 2021.

I'm hoping for them to come back to Orlando too. My son was really excited to go to his first con and then COVID-19 comes and dashes those hopes.

bit hopefull that the pandemic will end in a few months we are in for a long stretch of this virus if it ever goes away

I don't know what worries me more:
The fact that organizers took so long to pull the plug,
Or that some people planned to go to a convention with a deadly, invisible virus out there.
The truth is that medical scientists warned us in March that this virus may not resolve itself so quickly. The science has been clear all along, but I guess there's a lot of noise and blind optimism.
2021 sounds like a good choice, though I'm disappointed the shows have to be cancelled in 2020 for people to make the right choice and stay home. If we work together, we can beat this virus; if we pretend the virus doesn't exist, it will beat us.

This was inevitable, but I hope we at least get some updates.

You might want to add Texas and Florida to the list.

This blows, but it's a smart decision. I hope they will still have it in Chicago next year.
ArcanielRE3
Cancelled to the surprise of
absolutely no one.
Requiem Prime
I am not surprised they decided to play it safe and call it before things really got spun up.
I wonder if third parties even bothered with exclusives knowing the odds were against it being safe in time.

Please make it Orlando again, we had an epic Harry Potter and TFCon thing going.
ahro23
Probably the safest thing to do at this point given the information we have today. I hope this doesn't hurt the organizers too much and that we're still able to see some of the presentations (like the third party releases, etc) online somehow.

I'm interested in Orlando, or Chicago if it's ACTUALLY at the O'Hare hotel again (2015?), and not just "near" O'Hare like recently.
Maximus Danz
So no New York, California, or Minnesota show, got it.
I plan on going to either Chicago 2021 or if we get a Reston 2021 show.
Calabask
It's a strong possibility. Though with how 2020 is going, it might be whatever part of the USA that hasn't devolved into a Mad Max style apocalyptic dystopia.
TickTockGoesTheClock
Are they saying it'll be in Chicago again next year?
Kaynowa
Cant they do online panels?

Seeing as this is at almost an 80% chance of not happening due to illinois' convention rules and the uptick in case that will probably take a couple months to lower, do you guys think it'll come back to Chicago next year.

TFCon Chicago….I'm going
