Now that the highly-coveted Generations Selects Seacons have been in collectors’ hands for some time, third party company Transform Dream Wave, known for creating combiner team upgrade kits, have announced a kit for the team of killer robot fish and their combined form to help beef him up visually and structurally. From the looks of things, the TCW-10 kit will include thigh covers for combined mode, an all new torso chest piece, a new head, toe pieces, a new sword, elbow support pieces, and a few smaller pieces to support other joints.
For now we just have grey prototype images of the kit, but painted pics are sure to surface in due time and it’s priced at $64.99 USD. Be sure to check out the pics after the jump in the meantime and secure your pre-orders via our sponsors.

Thats an incredible act of imagination there: a combiner having a beast alt-mode… while combined! Has this been done elsewhere with the original Takara Seacons this God Neptune are repaints of? Very clever, very creative!

No, Piranacon/King Poseidon has a different set in his proper teal/pink. That's actually the TCW-10 that TCW-10T and TCW-10W are redecos of.

Piranhacon vs God Neptune?
Pcsolyar
Gold is toy and toon accurate, white isn't accurate to anything I can find. Maybe manga, since it was in black and white?

So have been doing some research and found pics online of both versions. Does anyone know why there's 2 versions? Maybe one is toy accurate and the other 'toon (Beast Wars 2) accurate? Do both sets come with the same parts?
Pcsolyar
I didn't realize there were 2 versions either. Luckily I bought from BBTS and got the gold set, as after seeing them both it's certainly the one I prefer.

Wow I didn't know there was a T version and W version for the God Neptune upgrade kit? Can anyone point me to any galleries or reviews comparing the 2 please? Re the Victorian upgrade kit – was this done by the same company as God Neptune or by another?

This set adds so much bulk to King Poseidon. Much more than their Abominus kit did to that combiner. I don’t like Seawing as an arm because it ends up as all black from his elbow down so I swapped in Overbite to balance the colors better and moved Seawing to the back to masquerade as a jet pack. It just sucks that one of the elbow filler is specifically made for Seawing but it looks like I can swap out that cavity for a 3D printed one.

I do think this would help encourage TT to release the missing seacon they already hinted about it.

Yeah I have no attachment to the character but I love the design. I paid about that price for my set so it isn't too bad. Since it's the only real upgrade for Neptune I feel like its a must get before it becomes impossible to get like the victorion set.
Check the quoted post to make sure you get the colors you want, there's 10w which is whiter and 10t which has more gold

Alright fellas, be real with me. I have God Neptune, and want the upgrade kit, but the cheapest I can find it on a legit site is about $85 after tax. Would anyone here who already has the kit for either combiner say it's even remotely worth it? I know the kit doesn't solve all the figures issues, but I REALLY like how it looks, and I like how does help with a tiny bit of the stability issues.

Thanks I had a feeling. I sped through a couple of reviews hoping one of them would mention it, but I had no luck. I should have known tho since ALL of them set them up in the same formation.
TFXProtector
IIRC you cannot. They seem to be keyed a particular way. I'm sure people forced them to do it a different way, but I wouldn't recommend it.

Sorry to revive a dead thread, but does anyone know if we can still do Scramble City with the joints with the kit? I'd rather just make Tentakill/Scylla an arm than even attempt to make them work as a leg.

I managed to get the seacons, plus an extra terrormander, and the tdw kit into a monstrous combiner.

I think it came out well. I only left out the elbow upgrades and I think I can find a spot for them.

I finally shipped my God Neptune set somewhat recently and have started putting mine on and, for those that had issues with getting the feet onto the limbs, how much did you sand down the foot peg? Or did you just ram it on? Mine's not cooperating at all.
It really irritates me that TDW couldn't get the peg width down correctly; this should just slip on like the standard hands/feet. This is my first bad experience with a TDW kit.
EDIT: Nevermind, I figured out how much. Shaved a smidge off each and finally got the feet to slide them in. Still, that's disappointing. I also don't like how wobbly the ankle tilt joints are; this should've helped stabilize this guy, not make him more likely to fall over (at least the sword helps balance). I didn't bother with the elbow parts since I wanted Sea Phantom as the right leg per the cartoon.

Honestly, it's just having 1 of the figures is always a arm and with the kibble, they look fine doing so i don;t consider it a big loss since i was planning to do that from the get go. I would fiddle with it when you get it all in hand. I am abit surprised they did not release the missing one from the Beast war recolor.

You even made a diagram. Good form sir.

If you don't want to sand it down, I think a hobby knife/wood chisel would work too. You just need to cut a triangle onto it and it should have enough clearance to take the male connectors.
