A big surprise across time and space! The official Transformers Instagram account have uploaded a teaser image of the next installment in the Transformers Collaborative line: Transformers x Back To The Future.
The image shows the iconic DeLorean next to the Autobot logo. We are yet to see further details yet, but stay tuned with TFW2005 for more information. This announcement may be related to the a Tra GEN Project Future Deluxe Amazon listing we reported before, and considering that Ectotron was Project Muller and Maverick was Project Cruise.

Attaboy!
As for my admittedly weird approach to Transformers, it helps to consider that my hobby is specifically capturing portraits of my favorite characters; to me the character is the robot.

Now, an Autobot who becomes the Traveling Time Train would be HEAVY! (pun intended)

>People keep bumping this thread
>I click thinking that they did a retool of Astrotrain for the locomotive time machine.

I will provide it. Awful take and you should be ashamed of yourself!
Seriously though, I've never understood your part of the fandom, but who am I to judge someone else's collecting habits? We're all here to collect toys of alien robots lmao
He does look cool though. It makes me wonder if I can somehow kitbash a transforming version of his doors on his arms, since they end up right next to each other in alt mode

Look, I don’t have a problem with fans who don’t transform their Transformers figures. I just respect their decision.

This is the internet, sir, this is no place for your even-handed pragmatism. Where is your outrage, sir??!
Ejector369
That’s fine. Nothing wrong with that.
Monte Williams
Negative, I'm one of those weirdo fans who doesn't transform his Transformers. For me they're toys of robot characters; I have no interest in toy cars for the most part.

Does it still transform? Where do the miniloreans go in alt mode?

Gigawatt Upgrades. (Retail version on the left, my lazy kitbash on the right.)
Apparently turning his legs around is a pretty common hack, which makes sense because the actual fronts of the legs look bland (plus each leg has a Flux Capacitor, which is nonsensical), but I also removed the doors from his back and added them instead to his arms with the aid of broken-off chunks of a mechanical pencil, 'cause my philosophy is that the robot mode of any crossover Transformer should include as many visual details of its alt mode as possible.
(I also painted his blaster black 'cause it was made of cheap-looking gray plastic that didn't look nearly as good as it does in this promo photo.)
Removing the doors from his back left him looking pretty empty and hollow, so I added all this back kibble to make him look more solid:
It's all Wall-E parts, which adds some comical nightmare fuel in certain poses:
I reckon the small tank treads are vestigial remnants of his Cybertronian alt-mode. And if you think it's silly that he has two miniature DeLoreans on his legs, first off they look much cooler and more fun than his actual legs, and secondly my head canon is that Gigawatt is not in fact Doc Brown's DeLorean. He's just an Autobot who chose as his alt-mode a DeLorean (or for whom said alt-mode was chosen by Teletraan-1), and he eventually learned of the BttF movie, watched it, fell in love with it, and added new bits to his alt-mode to essentially cosplay as Doc Brown's DeLorean. Also he eventually draws the ire of Optimus by wasting precious Energon changing his alt-mode to the Ecto-1 and, later, a Jurassic Park jeep.
Also, I have a notion that perhaps the mini-DeLoreans are wee scouting vehicles and/or Mini-Con combiners named… wait for it… Doubleback.
Here's a bland pose for a clean portrait:
And some Dutch Tilt to make this Dollar Store Roadblock seem closer to scale:
Apologies for resurrecting an old thread; I'm a bit baffled that Gigawatt isn't more popular!

Do what I did and take the windshield out and paint it matt black and looks much more accurate to… good job on the other paint also
Optimussentinel
Not the best photos, but I painted my Gigawatt so quickly after I got him. This dude technically was my intro to the WFC line, which the aesthetic and design made me carry on collecting again into Legacy. What a fun and nigh perfect figure!

They did a great job on him. He’s an underrated toy for sure.

Have I developed a deep-seated need for Swindler since getting Gigawatt? Why yes, yes I have.

The micromaster for him to play with, that is.

Check out this guy's complete mod. Looked amazing in the end also.
