X-Transbots MX-2 Andras (G1 Scourge) & MX-2 Swarm Team (G1 Sweeps) Color Images

Third Party company X-Transbots, via their Weibo account, have revealed images of their new MX-2 Andras (G1 Scourge) & MX-2 Swarm Team (G1 Sweeps).

These are re-releases of X-Transbots take on Masterpiece scaled Sweeps, now in cartoon accurate special deco. Andras (Scourge), Curse, Bane and Wrath (Sweeps, sold as a 3-pack) retain their original G1-inspired parts and bonus, as well as all the interchangeable faces. To top it all, X-Transbots have listened to the fans and improved the feet transformation of these molds. They are expected for release in August this year.

yup $90 was a steal! i loved the mold first time around so i couldn't resist. i kinda want to find another original release one at some point now too so the new "cartoon" one (metallic i guess?) can be scorge and the og releases can be sweeps…right now i'm just gonna have one of each which is kinda like "which is which?" but thats ok for now. eventually i'll track down another original release one (used probablyh at this point) so scourge can have 2 of his own henchmen.

I was so torn on getting that since I have the FT on preorder, but I fought off the urge to get it. $90 is an absolute steal, although I got over it when I saw the KFC Octane was only $80. Now my triple changers trio is complete without doubling up on a character

Absolutely, it’s a very nice figure and it still holds up pretty well despite its age. I wasn’t in the market for another one but at that price it’s a no-brainer if you’re looking for a good Scourge.

Now that we've seen Hasbro use Scourge as a base for Alpha Trion I hope so badly that Xtransbots uses that idea cause my god I want that so bad

I painted the eyes red on mine with a red sharpie marker. I put a piece of tin foil to prevent the LED light from escaping out of the jaw and forcing it through the eyes even stronger. The light is still visible thru the eyes with the paint. I saw this trick demonstrated on @Vangelus Youtube video review of Andras a few years back. I posted the video on this thread back then.

I may have to do this. My lazy axx never gets around to putting the faction symbols on and I guessed I would just do a lot of that stuff at the end. I generally admire the figure, transform it, and make any repairs needed but modding has been something I generally have just not committed to but there are many great ideas like this one.

So he can, but not really. Shame.

Certainly would not compare to a nice custom stand. I just tested it out on some tamashii stands, and his butthole isn't deep enough (ha) to support him, and the back hole doesn't have anything to latch onto, so you couldn't have him straight up or forward… and he's also probably too heavy for the little plastic teeth to hold for any period of time. I think my memory was mixing the old MP seeker stand/peg configuration and applying it to Andras.

Shame, I would like one, I bought a metallic Andras not too long ago and this is a great way to display him.

I was unaware that X-Trans did more than one version of him.

This certainly helped. My only concern is a proper stand for mid air stuff. I think the bandai ones are universal, but I never tried it with the other Masterpiece figures I have on display.
