Third party company 115-Utopia on Weibo have shared images of their new upgrade kit for Transformers Earthrise Voyager Grapple.
This new kit consists of:
- Arm fillers
- Calf fillers
- Thigh fillers
The pieces in this kit come on small sprues, so you need to remove the pieces before installing. A nice alternative to improve Earthrise Grapple for display. We still have no concrete information on price, but this kit should be out sometime soon.

Overseas shipping sucks right now. Most of it is surface transport right now ( that means by boat!) and it’s taking forever for things to get through and be picked up from customs.

My upgrade kit was ordered back in May, got a shipping notification on June 5th, and has been "released from import customs" in Chicago since June 20th. I still haven't received it, and yet a friend who ordered his after me from the same site received his a week ago.
What is even going on?

I don't know that it has the crane hinges and flap either.

I second this seller. I've ordered a few things from them and they get shipped out quickly and are packaged very well!

And once Inferno is made, Utopia will paint the orange pieces red.

Well they are the least tight pieces in the kit, for better or worse; perhaps that was accounted for. And I don’t get that as a problem with the inner crane arm at all since it is still open at the end.

Also the pieces for the feet in the Utopia kit seem to be be two parts, While Go Better is a single piece that sticks out and fleshes our the gap between those parts in alt mode.
It also remains to be seen how the forearm flaps are hinged, but I doubt the hinge is pinned like the GX when the parts are cut off a sprue.

I would be cautious in attaching the filler pieces to the arm of the crane. Sometimes Hasbro leaves gaps not to save money but to vent the movement of the piece. I suspect that the crane arm is vented and if air is not able to get into that area there is more of a chance for the crane arm to not have as fluid of a movement and in the worst case, perhaps on a humid day, get stuck.

anyone knows what has happened to the third party producers?
I’ve heard something but no details

This is the seller I just got my own from. It'll take a couple of weeks, but you'll get it.

Does anyone have an eBay link for the Go Better kit? Love the earthrise fig but I can’t get over the hallow aspect

Yeah a real cottage industry has popped up fixing Hasbro's Shortcuts.

I think this set has fewer piecers than Go Better\'s, but if the price accounts for it it\'s still a contender.
For what\'s there, I think the only difference is their circle fillers fit inside instead of over so there\'s some aesthetics to keep in mind.

Man that's such a nice upgrade. I saw this guy in a store the other day (a proper Transformer – in a store! Imagine it!) and almost picked him up even though I don't normally collect non-MP. Now I'm thinking maybe I should…
So they all fit securely in place with just friction, and don't impede the transformation? That's some quality engineering.

If it was 12 I would have been sold

Even at 20 bucks, it still brings Grapple in at a fraction of the MP price, and it’s quite neat considering he is 90% there anyway.
if some kit did just come up with the forearm covers and was much cheaper I don’t think people would complain so much of the cost.

So, I watched Emgo's video and wondered (knowing upgrade and filler kits existed for about roughly 4 years from getting back into TF), at what point do official fans stop buying figures with obvious gap issues. Man this brings me back to those gappy "MP" carbots. Or will these kits always exist and fans will always buy them to "upgrade" their figures.

I've had my Go Better GX kit for a week or so it's very good, but you might need to secure the upper arm fillers and crane gap fillers with some clear nail varnish or pva glue or something modest like that they don't need much to get them to hold.
The forearm covers are really cool, one small piece of advice the slim black leg fillers go in a specific way in line with a circle cut out so don't put the wrong one on the wrong side or the detail won't line up even if they will still fit in incorrectly.
I'd absolutely buy another set for any Grapple repaints or remoulds they make.
Or perhaps consider the 15 version if I want something to look a little different forsome reason – I think the other version is a little nicer though due to the additional pieces it has and the slightly larger forarm peices
There is a Wheeljack kit is pretty neat too. The one with leg fillers and tail lights in it.
Nonneff makes a gap filler kit for Hoist too and you can get a Transformation modifyer for Cliffjumper too as well as additional weapons.
I bought the weapon Upgrades for Hoist they are reasonable but not quite as useful as I hoped they'd be – I mainly just use the one big silver gun.

Do they do these kits for other earthrise figs?
