Fear not, UK citizens! The greatest, handsomest, and most modest Transformer ever has arrived on your fair shores!
That’s what the Transformer we’re talking about today, Sky Lynx, might say if he were in charge of writing this post. It’s true enough, though – Transformers Earthrise Sky Lynx has arrived at UK retail. Several TFW2005 members including Prescient, Vampyre000, SJW, Tikgnat and myself (Sol Fury) have spotted Sky Lynx on the shelves of UK toy retailer Smyths. The sightings range up and down the country including London, Colchester and Reading, so it seems a fair assumption that if there is a Smyths Toys near you, they may well have a Sky Lynx.
Smyths also have a full complement of other hot new Transformers, including Studio Series Scrapper, Studio Series Roadbuster, Jeep Bumblebee, and Shatter, and the Netflix War for Cybertron line (all size classes, including Ultra Magnus). Stay safe out there, wash your hands, and happy hunting.

I picked him up last week and I honestly couldn't be happier with the purchase…
The build quality is great, paint seems perfect, articulation makes him feel like a way more expensive figure and he has a shelf presence that none of the other characters in my collection has.
Literally the only nit-pick with mine is that the ankle tilt on the left leg of the birdbot (Sky?) is a little loose.

Can't wait for this and Scorponok.
Pun-3X
No, sir. It's Magnificent!
(…that was bad…)

Perfect for that, actually. My legends is almost all Season 1 characters (and one Sharkticon). This would open a door that my significant other would enjoy slamming repeatedly on me until all food must require the use of a straw.

I'll use this for my legends sized figures.
UtahRobotInDisguise
Looks ok… I'll wait for the FT/Dx9/Zeta Skylynx wars. LOL
Gilgamesh
That's amazing!
Then again it IS Sky Lynx…

I picked this guy up yesterday. Um'd and Ah'd about getting him at the price, but in hand he really is magnificent. Tons of articulation and just feels really solid. If only all mainline figures could be as virtually Masterpiece as this!
Anyway, of course he simply insisted on some time in front of the camera…

looks cool but pass. Idk just not that into the massive pieces. Mostly because I don't have the space.

Yep. In all honesty, the CW toy is nowhere near the ER toy's level. It's not even a fair comparison.

For me, it counts a – 1
Prescient
Brave man, I'm still holding out for the half price amazon / bargainmax like jefire was.
regenisis

Uh, yeah. Plenty were. I even complained about them in the beginning and said the Deluxe had some superiority because of the landing great (lol wtf? Cringe.) but the Voyagers are arguably better. Solid, chunky/thick (in the right way), and correctly scaled. The original Deluxes are way too small.
EDIT: Not to mention, better articulation.
Cal
I'll take my chances. It's not as if I'm replacing my Deluxe Seekers with Earthrise versions either. Was anyone truly displeased with the Deluxe mold to dismiss them in favour of an update?
TFXProtector
You're wasting a chance on an excellent figure. The articulation is 3rd party level. It's a hefty piece, too.
quantumhawk
It counts for 1/5.
Cal
But the CW toy can form a combiner torso. That's got to count for something.
Dmharper80
This is the first one that separates into his 2 components since his Foret mold. CW version pissed me off because it didn't.
