Via Action Toys Facebook we finally have an update of their UM-03 Ultimetal Megatron.
The new stock images of this impressive non-transforming G1 Megatron action figure reveal several finishing differences from the last images we reported while back in February, 2019. Ultimetal Megatron features a highly detailed G1 sculpt, a lot of die-cast parts, high level of posability (more than 30 articulations points) and several removable panels that let you see the inner part of the Decepticon leader. As we can see from the images, it also features a remote control light-up and sound gimmicks.
This figure stands 17 inches (43.18 cm) tall and it’s expected for release by the second quarter of 2021 for $642.37 approximately.
It’s been a long time since we reported this product in 2014, but it seems it was worth the wait. Check out all the images after the jump and then sound off om the 2005 Boards!

So what your Premium Prime had a problem. 3Zero has great customer support. Why would you let one bad product halt your collecting experience(especially when it can be easily fixed)?

Just checking in on this and all the defective units that were shipped out. New year is approaching, never got the fix for my cannon and neither did my friend. I believe Kuma got his quickly. I can only recommend avoiding this piece if you are on the fence. This and my defective Premium Prime has halted my transformers collecting. Too many high dollar pieces not meeting QC lately for me.

That's a bummer. At this price point it needs to be 100%. Now I have to check my fusion cannon. Never put batteries in it. Mine has a poorly painted chest plate but I don't really mind it.

The QC on this isn’t as good as Optimus
There are things I like better on Megatron but there ar etchings I like better on Optimus
my back waist plate does not stay on and the speaker is a MAJOR downgrade from Optimus
It’s not very loud and very tinny
But he looks damn good

Ok cool. I jtook another sstab at it and tried all button combos and nada. The Fusion cannon light isn't working, and he's missing a magnet on the side of his torso that those oblique plates stick to. Not to mention a nick on one of the face plates.

I might be confusing something else with the instructions. But the switch is on when flipped to the right when facing Megatron. There was something weird with him that he wasnt working at first, it was a remote/switch combo. Maybe I had the batteries backwards too?

My instructions showed the remote as needing LR-44 Batteries pretty straightforward in the picture spread but with the chest switch… so "on" is to the viewer's right not left?

The remote required a pair of batteries found nowhere in the instructions.
This may also sound silly but the chest power switch works the opposite of how its marked.

Anyone having problems with the electronics? Mine came in today and neither the Fusion Cannon or the body electronics work. Tried new batteries and all. Absolutely no signal from the remote. Optimus still works great to this day.

Had this been released 100 years ago as initially announced, I'd have gotten it. That time when idealized versions of TFs were the rage is over for me, and cartoon accuracy triumphs over everything IMO.
Sold my UM Prime and never looked back. If they were to do cartoon representations of these, maybe I'll reconsider. But honestly, MP44 and MP36 seem to be the best we'll ever get, they are also a million dollars less and they transform.

Just sent my payment for Ultimetal Megatron. It took the same amount of time to release that it took my daughter to go from early elementary school to driving solo. It also marks the end of my transformers collecting, I swore if they released it I was done. Anything that doesn't fit in the collection room is getting sold.
