My Note 8 was about 1,000 dollars, via contact and monthly repayments.
Anyway, for those unfamiliar with phones from China, it might not have Google's services APIs installed. This would mean Google Play (Services) would not work, so Gmail, Google Play, YouTube, Play Protect, etc would not work either (or be available). You would need to sideload those things, or 3P versions (after uninstalling/disabling any bloatware/Chinese language apps that you didn't want).
Here's a video about it:

Not even Soundwave could spy on you as well as this phone.

As an Android user/Pixel owner, I agree. It's not top tier, but it's up there and vanilla Android is a sweet deal. It's as clean or as cluttered as you want it. Plus, the base Android features are sometimes nicer than the bloatware that either kills it all together or modifies it to the point you don't want to use it. The hardware isn't a problem, really. The battery does indeed suck.
Still, if I'm paying that much for a phone, it better be a Samsung something or other. I was dumb enough to buy my Pixel 2 XL via contract at nearly $800.00 and I won't do it again. I'm done with that. I've never spent that much on a desktop computer…

I just checked GSMArena, and it seems to have flagship specs.
I'm of the opinion that the Pixel isn't top tier, and I think Google knows this, which is why they're dropping out of the flagship game. They have decent specs, and the best canera in a phone, but they usually fall short on useful hardware and battery. This phone is $800 normally, so that autobot logo costs $600.

$1409 USD!
It better have flagship specs for that price. And good ones at that. Nah, I'll be sitting this one out. I'm done paying flagship pricing when the Pixel a series exists and Google gives you the latest software updates immediately. Nearly flagship and only $299-349, depending on model, and still just as solid of an experience.
5G? Phones might be ready, but the infrastructure isn't, and it's gimmicky right now. It'll be legit, soon, but until then I'm not racing out to be an early adopter. Done that, it sucks, no thanks.
Throw on that it's a no-name (to me, and a lot of people, but not everyone admittedly) and it's a no-go for me.
$1400… Dang.

Weird.

But does it transform? YES, it uses mass displacement on your wallet until it is microscopically small.
