We can share for your the following data (from Target stores) for those interesting in tracking these items. About the “MPM 2”, we have to remember that we still have no concrete information on which character it is.

- DCPI: 087168015

We already know that both MPM Starscream and the Decepticon clones will be Target exclusives in the US, but…Who this mysterious “MPM 2” could be? We know many Transformers Movie collectors are waiting for Ratchet, but at this point we still have to wait for an image or an official confirmation. Click on the bar and share your impressions on the 2005 Boards!

I'd like to thank JTprime for referring me to this thread.

Masterpiece toys at Target? I thought it'd never happen. Finally a store I can actually get exclusives from reliably.
Also I'm probably not the only one who saw MPM2 and immediately thought of the actual MPM 2. It's probably not that but it'd be sorta cool just as a sort of completist to be able to finally add that one to my collection.

That's true! Although I'd be looking for a 1:1 KO as all the oversized stuff is way too big for my apartment lol
Fingers crossed the official figure knocks it out of the park.

But if it's a Weijiang KO it will be the definitive version fixing all the flaws and scale to Bb and Jazz who aren't same scale as Ironhide and Optimus if Ratchet has those flaws. Their iron hide will literally fix everything about the upper body of the figure and their Prime leader is the definitive one fixing the whole back, arms, shoulders, double transforming tires, guns, etc.
Notomus
not currently, though I'd imagine that they'd start around June/July.

I will wait till someplace like BBTS or Toy Dojo gets stock on MPM Starscream to get him. Trying to find him in store will be a act in futility and if you win the lottery and find him his box is most likely going to have a long box cutter slice down one side (Unless you win the grand prize and find a case untouched on a stocking cart or a warehouse pull by a Target employee that cares to do their job – 1 in 1,000,000,000 chance of winning). And you can be guaranteed the pre-order/order on the website will require a Red Card; they learned their lesson with Selects Redwing. Yes their will be a small markup from BBTS or the like but it will be less than the collective amount of gas spent to go hunting for him and the frustration of seeing stock on Brickseek (if they allow it to be listed) and getting there to find nothing. This is one of those figures the employees will buy up before the store opens to resell for a profit. It happens and I am not ashamed to admit I did it to when I worked for Target 20 years ago ( Generation One Furbys where the hot thing then). If it had to be an exclusive I just wished Amazon was the one to get it.

You're complaining about a bunch of things you don't understand.
Exclusivity doesn't happen because Hasbro are "idiots". Exclusivity happens because the American retail environment is fickle, and you're usually talking about a niche product that most retailers don't want to deal with. Exclusivity creates an incentive, where the retailers sees that to get said item, everybody has to come to them. And with that comes opportunities to snag impulse buys and upsells and all manner of other things. Most fans don't realize that they do dick all to support Hasbro directly. They don't buy toys from Hasbro. They buy toys from the retailers, and the retailers buy toys from Hasbro. For anything that exists outside the standard retail schedule (which is to say, infrequent, big-ticket items like Masterpieces or Titan Class), Hasbro has to do a big song and dance number to convince the retailers to buy in. Exclusivity is frequently the carrot they have to dangle to make that happen. No product manufacturer in their right mind wants their product to be difficult to find. They want their product to be as widely available as possible, to sell as many units as possible. When exclusivity is the call, that means the only other option was "not at all".
Your Earthrise rant, on the other hand, is just entirely self-centred and ill-informed. We just got most of those characters in the previous line. There are no plans to run them all again just a year leader. We're getting an Earthrise version of Megatron soon. Him, Optimus Prime, and Starscream tend to be the exceptions because they're key "flagship" characters who will be rerun as often as possible and as much as makes sense. Otherwise, they can't keep doing the same guys over and over just because some dude might have missed the versions the previous year.
Your idea of "storybuilding" is shot, when it's only people who cling desperately to the 80s who give a shit. For current generation fans, cartoons like Cyberverse have original '84-derivitive characters integrating with '86 and beyond characters just fine. For the 'Cons especially, they have pretty much no choice but to call forward. The original '84 Decepticon cast was tiny as hell, and War for Cybertron did them all already (with the exception of the Constructicons. Combiners are a difficult subject matter that can't be revisited too frequently). We weren't going to get them all again.

The people who organise product releases st hasbro need to be fired!! \"Exclusive\" to one u.s. brand store on mainline characters of a range just adds to the frustration of a lack of continuity as to how products are produced for retail. Earthrise is a joke in terms of collection building. Star scream virtually the only decepticon available? Wheres megatron, soundwave, shockwave as well as these \"exclusive seekers\", to go up against the autobots that have been released so far. Bringing characters forward such as airwave, snapdragon, quintesson and alicon just makes no sense when the main characters are way behind in being produced, and screws all collectors or even kids from building a collection with a story. When we were kids the cartoons and comics created the story to enhance the attractiveness of the product range. And when a character gets released as exclusive, it makes it more difficult and more expensive to collect, and limits spending on other products to build a collection. Hasbro need to look seriously at what there doing. Earthrise following on from siege could be so much better off with a bit more fore thought.

Starscream is September. Ratchet hasn't been officially announced yet but I imagine they'd aim for a winter release in time for the holidays, just like Jazz last year.

Currently there are no additional Earthrise wave 4 listings, from what I've gathered they've also added a streetdate to all unreleased waves of SS (10) and ER (2,3,4) I'll check again soon though.

What's the intended release date for these two MPMs?
lord ginrai
Hopefully they won't mess up Ratchet's colors like they have Starscream's. Would hate to have to get the KO instead of the official figure.

Is there a target watch thread when stuff gets listed their online? Can someone tag me with it. Thanks.
tigermask44
Oh ok gotcha.
SoundwaveSuperior
The clone 2-pack is $24.99. The Seeker 2-pack is $59.99.
tigermask44
There’s no way the thundercracker skywarp 2 pack is 24.99.
ReadyParzivalOne
MPM 2 is definitely ratchet now!!!! At $120 it makes sense!!!! Ironhide was $130…. Ratchet is slightly smaller than Ironhide so $10 cheaper works!!!!! $150 it couldn\'t be ratchet, but $120 it\'s definitely him!!!!!!!!! It couldn\'t fit the Decepticons now
please be ratchet!!!!! I need him so bad to complete the team!!!!
i need pics on confirmation it\'s ratchet!!
optimus124
Very cool. Has there been any info regarding when pre-orders will be available?
octobotimus
Most likely they have to buy from target and then sell it. Tbh idk who would be dumb enough to spend that much more money, but it’s an option.
