This special spoiler pack has been found in Walmart stores in Utah and Dayton Ohio.

Because not knowing means extra pre-orders as fans think it'll be something much cooler than it actually is. Unfortunately, this essentially dampens chances fans will get excited for the next time they want to have a secret figure. Although if the next time, it turns out to be great, then that will just cause frustration among the fandom.
For a hidden figure at the $60 mark, they really needed to hit the ball out of the park. Even if it was simply a more dingier deco, they really needed to go more in the direction of Megatron with the upgraded paint apps. Just essentially airbrushing additional silver paint all over him is a major downer that will hamper future figures presented this way.

Hasbro is either testing the popularity of loot crates and thought this would be cool…or it was just cheaper.
Who knows? The bigger question is why they thought a line of text that 99.9% of the fans, let alone the random Wal-Mart shopper, can't translate without assistance constituted a giant spoiler warning?

First of all, those are deluxes, and second, both Hot Link and Megatron feature new and/or premium decos as Voyagers. It's not straining credulity to expect even more from a Leader figure, especially after such a big deal was made about "spoilers" to hide what it actually looks like.
But yeah I get it, be thankful for what we get, etc. etc.
