Hi folks I just got this 5* bot over the weekend. Is he any good? Any core recommendations or suggestions is much appreciated. Thanks

I have the 4* with Bashbreaker. I like him. He does good damage and with Bash he launches three additional acid projectiles.

Dale is a corporate employee doing corporate PR. I won't be trying to be involved any longer. All of the fun of being engaged is gone for me. Corporate has what they wanted all along. I'll paste my story since you responded, then I'll be done with it. I'm slowly going through and deleting my reddit history from oldest to newest b/c I don't want to be associated with this any longer. In fact, I think I'll take this opportunity to delete much of my 11 years of reddit history. I've done about 3 out of 11 years so far. Anyway, here is the story. I'd ask nobody pester Space Ape any longer, it will do no good. I just wouldn't give them any money. RiverFenixBen, however, is as two-faced as they come.

SpaceApe asked me weeks ago to become mod to make changes; I said no. They wanted to change some things that I've let slide (they don't want people posting stuff like terms of service violations like selling accounts etc). I said no.

Then asked me if I was the owner of the sub. This is my response:

The other person who was previously involved 6-7 years ago after creating it got so irate with SpaceApe (apparently he'd created a facebook page too and Spaceape got facebook to steal the page from him and give it to them) that he quit playing and raged how much he hated the company and he was going to delete the entire sub out of anger but he turned over control to me instead and I've grown the community since then (It would have grown a lot more if I pushed it but that hasn't been a goal in itself).

So while reddit may own things, I control things. My goal has never been to make anything off the sub but to provide a safe space for players free of voice silencing (since Spaceape, at least in the past, has been notorious for deleting commends and banning people from chat for saying certain things)."

I then said that I've always kidded with my alliance that if my money was refunded I'd just walk away from it, I wouldn't feel such a responsibility to stay involved and wouldn't care if I were removed as moderator (kind of the opposite of a sunk cost). This came up when people talked about doing charge backs after SpaceApe did some shady stuff. So there is 2 points referencing this. It's the truth, if I didn't have all that money sunk into the game I wouldn't have stayed engaged as long as I did. Despite being an economist I'm not ignoring sunk costs haha.

After I sent that message I sent a 2nd message to clarify that one because I wanted to make sure it was clear I'm not offering to sell the sub. I talked about how much money I'd spent on my account and if that wasn't the chase that I'd have a different perspective. I joked if I had that money I spent on the game I instead would've bought real transformer toys since that has been my coping mechanism since my dad died. I went from TFEW whale to G1 toy collector when dad died.

I ended that with "That being said, this isn't something I have had any plans to do nor actively sought out." Honestly, if they had refunded me I would've just been like "meh, I don't care anymore what happens" – I wouldn't feel like I have to make sure of all the money I've spent. So ya, that came across in that chat.

So to sum up:

RiverFenixBen created the sub 7 years ago SpaceApe did a bunch of shady things and RiverFenixBen said he was shutting down the sub 6 years ago. He then agreed to transfer ownership to me: imgur.com

I solely moderated this sub for 6 years. SpaceApe tried a couple times to get the sub and I always said no.

8 months ago RiverFenixBen started playing the game then and while he didn't really get involved in moderating he made a post saying he was playing again but I continued moderating the sub. I told him 4 weeks ago that SpaceApe was reaching out again asking if they could take over and make changes. He suggested I just tell them to send the stuff and implement if or whenever I can imgur.com I saved everything too. At the end of the day this is now a corporate-run sub enabled by a coup from the original mod after he transferred it to me 6 years ago so that I could save it for players when he threatened to shut it down because of how much he hated space ape (except he called them SpaceRape).

However you spend your time, I hope you all enjoy yourselves. I haven't actually played my Transformers Earth Wars accounts as much as I used to. When my dad died in 2020, I got into actually rebuying the toys from my childhood and letting my kids play with them. That is much more satisfying.

lol, what does everyone think about these begging emails they send monthly now saying you haven't spent enough money?

Has anyone filed a charge back against the Apes saying you spent $1,000 to become a part of the VIP program and then they took it away from you so you never got the long-term expected VIP benefit you spent $1000 assuming you'd receive?

What? Where are you getting that from. Several players already have the bots for the combiner and just upgraded them in the combiner lab as normal.

Can confirm.

I have all the bots in 4* or higher. The 3* Combiner is automatically available, and then it's a 2 day/3m Energon upgrade to the 4*.

So now we not only need the bots for the new combiner,but you need to draw the combiner it's self.

this will sound like complete BS, but I pulled (dupe) 4*s from two back to back free crystals this morning.

Someone here said that his attack drone ability is quite useful. And it is. Deploy them in a base, and then deploy another set of drones. The first ones blow up and deal quite a lot of damage. For a core or combat, I have Rejuvenate G-Metal and a 2* Flak. The last one I will change to something better.
