Yodo1‘s Chinese sandbox game Mini World has sold 360,000 licensed Transformers skins within 3 month and has generated several million dollars in the process.
Pocket Gamer stated:
“Recently, Hasbro and Beijing-based global game service platform Yodo1 entered into an exclusive agency agreement for licensing a selection of Hasbro IP on digital platforms in the Greater China region. Via a new streamlined process, this partnership allows for broader use of Hasbro’s IP in game developers’ titles and helps Hasbro expand its digital portfolio for the TRANSFORMERS, MY LITTLE PONY, MONOPOLY, PLAY-DOH, and BLYTHE Dolls brands.
This collaboration between Hasbro and Yodo1 has inspired the imagination of Mini World players with the introduction of everyone’s favorite robots-in-disguise into the Chinese version of the mobile gaming app.
On November 27, 2019, OPTIMUS PRIME and MEGATRON landed in the Chinese version of Mini World. The first authorized Transformers characters went online less than a month after the agreement between Hasbro, Yodo1, and MiniWan was signed.”

I am Bumblebee, your best friend. Optimus Prime, I was willing to make any sacrifice for peace.

Agreed on Devastation. I only completed it once and sold it (did a few extras). Enjoyed it but didn't love it and was done. WFC, FOC I loved and played tons. If Devastation had been a show with that style, design, and art, I would've loved that (this game was a better show than Combiner Wars, haha). I did enjoy watching Grimlock screw around at base though. I'm also not into melee games. Kind of like the Arkham games… great effects, story, voices, animation, but not my kind of game.

Idk I just thought it was fairly repetitive and a pretty standard game at its core. Again I love playing it, but looking past my love of the designs, voices and animations, it’s a pretty meh game with pretty bare map design. Not bad, but not amazing.

I disagree, I enjoyed Devastation more. If it had PVP it'd have been my favorite game of all time.

Yeah even tho I love devestation (purely for the style and voice actors), it really isn’t that good a game. Fall of Cybertron was an amazing game that was somehow followed up with failure after failure despite having 2 games telling them what works. And now the one project we can have hope in is a free to play game, which means small studio, small budget, and micro transactions….

I don't know about that?
Only yesterday I said that Devastation was a mind-numbingly boring 84 nostalgia trip and I only had one complaint

Oh my bad…

Actually, it's because of a news yesterday that Yodo1 is going though a successful phase now, thanks to the implementation 3-month ago.

Was already put up and front paged before I responded.

Talk about a news credit and front page article 3 months late, all thanks to one necro.

Because Hasbro is lazy. I realize it’s a cliche overused talking point to say that a company that is doing something you don’t like, or isn’t doing something you’d like is “lazy”. However, at a time where children are moving towards electronics and away from toys, it’s tragic that Hasbro hasn’t fully invested in a Transformers console game. They haven’t in five years.
From my understanding, Rise of the Dark Spark and Devastation didn’t sell all that well. However, that doesn’t mean you pick up your shit and say “Screw it.” It doesn’t help that ROTDS squandered the good will that the Cybertron games had developed among fans, and that Devastation only felt like half a game (I’m saying this bravely because it seems if you criticize Devastation on this website, people get all caught up in their feels. I guess it’s true that nostalgia does blind you). Still, that doesn’t mean you give up.

we went from WFC to this…… How is this what we see for 2020 transformer game content….

The Chinese online sandbox game "Mini World" (迷你世界) is continuing its Transformers promotion (that has started in early December and, I don't think it was reported on either). I'm including images from both parts in case the first one was actually missed.
The first promotion has added Optimus Prime and Megatron, both had the ability to transform and possessed special powers in alternate mode: Optimus can project a shield in front of him, Megatron can shoot. The second part is new and it's just Bumblebee. From what I can understand, he's unable to attack in vehicle mode and instead his special power is a speed boost.
Note that there's also Starscream in one of the posters, so he might be next.
