Activision have updated their website with a list of their video games that have diminished or discontinued services. We are sad to report that Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen & Fall Of Cybertron video games will no longer be supported.
This affects directly to the Multiplayer online functions, but offline features will still work though for both games. Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen was a third-person shooter movie tie-in released in June 23, 2009 by Luxoflux on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC and its Multiplayer was considered fun and playable for many fans. It is important to mention that the Xbox 360 version Multiplayer servers are still up for some unknown reason, but we should expect it to close down shortly.
Transformers: Fall of Cybertron, released on PS4 and Xbox One is a third person shooter released August 8th/9th, 2016 by Fun Lab and direct sequel of the War For Cybertron game and considered one of the best (if not the best) Transformers video games in the market. Please note that this refers to the PS4 and Xbox One versions. The PS3, Xbox 360, and PC Multiplayer servers are still up for now, so you may try it while you still can.
We hope fans could enjoy these game on time. Click on the discussion link below and let us know your impressions on the 2005 Boards.

I hate myself in a way for not having spent as much time playing FoC Multiplayer the last half year…
Now the game is only reduced to its single player campaign. Sure, it's a very fun campaign to play, with a very good story.
But for most people, I'm sure the biggest fun was building custom bots in Multiplayer and then go to war with or against each other.
Heck, the PC version was even more so the case, as several people were able to kinda cheat in the character customizer to allow greater interchangability, in the sense of swapping standard heads, shoulders, arms and legs between all four classes, which wasn't possible in the unmodded version.
Add custom color schemes and even fused body parts, and there was a TON of fun to be had building custom Transformers characters for FoC on the PC.
And the best part: this wasn't seen as cheating as such, as it was only a cosmetic mod. For actual multiplayer, everybody still used the standard alt modes, weaponry and abilities that are supposed to be used with the classes.

That ship has sailed. Amazon's $50 key is the cheapest it gets now.
But at this point, with the online components gutted out, you don't really stand to lose anything from taking to the high seas, if you catch my drift.

Does anyone how to get a cheap PC key for Fall of Cybertron?

Right dude, it’s perfectly logical to continue paying for a licence when you haven’t released a new game for it since 2014, and a port since 2016. Activision has done some stupid shit, but this isn’t one of those things. I understand your hatred, but this shouldn’t be the cause of it.

It's a gripe I hold to many game companies. But the subject is Activision. I call trash when I see it. I stand by my opinion.
Warframe is a beautiful example on how Games should be handled.

It was rereleased for current gen in 2016. It was no longer available to purchase in 2018. They stopped supporting servers in 2020. You can still play the game with multiplayer on Xbox 360 and PS3. This is pretty normal practice for the industry. There are many gripes to have with Activision-Blizzard, this really isn’t one of them.
lordmegatron64
Yeah because they decided to, like every other game they handle, not make content for it past 1 or 2 dlc packs. Activision honestly should never be allowed to have rights to a game ever again.
Gumblor Gimbles
That’s a good idea. But what I meant was that activision actually lost the license a few years ago, so it was out of character for them to keep the servers running for as long as they have.
lordmegatron64
Give it to Digital Extremes. They would've kept this game alive
Gumblor Gimbles
to be fair, the game has not even been for sale for a few years now, as activision no longer holds the TF licence.

Please… hackers… we need the data to make our own servers.
lordmegatron64
Fuck Activision. I hope they go out of business.

We have a free to play 3rd person pvp game coming…. so not really a sign of much other than how shorty Activision is

So they pull the plug on next gen consoles but leave out the PS3 and 360 servers open? How ass backwards is that?
This sucks all the same. All my fun was in my ps3 copy of FOC and WFC. That was the best online experience I've ever had in console memory since Dark Souls. I pray that this is a sign for a next-generation Transformers game on the horizon.
