The official Transformers Instagram and Facebook accounts surprised us with the reveal of new Transformers Earthrise Target Exclusive Thundercracker & Skywarp 2-pack And Decepticon Clones.
According to the information shared, these packs will be available this summer exclusively at Target stores in the US. Skywarp and Thundercracker are the inevitable repaints of Earthrise Starscream mold, but we can spot that they have different face expressions. Pounce and Wingspan are the previously released Titans Return molds now sold together in a single pack. They were kind of hard to get before since Pounce was available only in the “Siege Of Cybertron” set and Wingspan was sold in a 2-pack together with Cloudraker as a Walgreens exclusive.
Check out the mirrored images after the jump and then sound off on the 2005 Boards!
Update – additional images and product descriptions added after the break.

Metroplex's son. Thats actually such a cool concept. I love it

Customs generally aren't my thing, but this one looks really great. Great job.
It would be really neat for Airwave to get a repaint as Metro (w/ new head), just for the crazy combinations you could get from him, Sixgun, & the upcoming Slammer.

Suburbamax,
Minorplex

Like that idea, like a lizard tail, hydra, cut off a tower, gun implacement and they assemble into an angry mini me.

Suburb?
Stripmall?
Culdesac?
TranslucentBag
Yep someone mentioned it could also be Miniplex, Metro’s little drone buddy.

Love it, less Metroplex and more Bungalowtron
TranslucentBag
Nice! It also works to help fill in the giant hole in the fuselage once you pull out the cockpit section. That always was a deal breaker for me.
If we are looking at tweaks to figures. I just finished up a little paint work to finally have my deluxe-sized Metroplex. He seems to weigh about 5lbs more now. View attachment 28919074View attachment 28919075

Here's another custom i wanted to show off,
The one thing that bothered me about starscream was how shallow his cockpit is in his chest.
So i frankensteined my siege screamer and modified it on my ER screamer. The bottom of the jet mode is comprimised but its not too obvious unless its viewed from the bottom
Unpopular opinion but i do prefer it when faux parts are used to achieve better proportioned robot modes.

You have the series bible?!
That's awesome! Just my speculation, the added their own version of fembots because of the lithe appearances of said mechs.

My educated guess is Hanna Barbera. There wasn't much backstory provided for the toys and it was usually contradicted by the show. For example, there's something like "GoBots come from a different time and age" on the cards/boxes while the show went and set everything in 1984-1986. I should dig up my series bible to confirm though…
Something else to remember is that Hanna Barbera had a few formulas they liked to follow so you'll see some of that creep into shows like GoBots that deviated from the type of cartoons they're more widely known for (Scooby Doo, Yogi Bear, etc).

If my local Targets haven't had Runabout in at least 3-4 weeks and he's sold out online does that mean I've probably missed my chance to get him at retail and I should buy him secondhand ASAP before he gets more expensive, or based on how other Target exclusives have gone recently is there a chance he'll be restocked soon, either in person or online?

And core class figures are $11.99. Maybe it is a fake Target, LoL

Can I piggyback a bit? Assigning gobot's female in the defunct show, Crasher, Pathfinder,Smallfoot and Snoop iirc, can anyone actually reference how it was decided on? Tonka thing or was it Hanna Barbera or just a random thing?

I just visited a local Target. Thrust is in stock but the price increases. Local Target asks $39.99 for it.
