Third Party company Shockwave Lab have uploaded, via their Weibo account, images of their new upgrade kit: SL-71 Arm Blade For Studio Series SS-56 Shockwave.
This is another easy to install accessory to improve the new Leader Class Studio Series DOTM Shockwave. You just need to connect the new blade in Shockwave’s left arm. The blade is nicely sculpted with Cybertronian writing and it seems to be retractable. You can also install it together with previous Shockwave Lab SL-70 LED Blaster Kit.
We still have no concrete information on price or release date, but it should not take long since Shockwave Lab upgrade kits are usually available online once they share images of the product. See the mirrored images after the jump and then share your impressions on the 2005 Boards!

It dose if I plan to customize both…..

No. It's traditionally his left arm for G1-derived Shockwave designs, but it was his right arm in the movie. And that has nothing to do with this upgrade kit.

Isn't the gun on the wrong side?
f-primusunicron
and people will hate me for this but i want 2 and none for any shockwave

I don’t really care about this weapon, but man if they could replace every other rubber part I’d buy it
Dirge121
I've got the LED barrel replacement on the way and depending on how good that is I'll probably pick this up too. Shockwave was a beast in the game and his melee strength was a big part of that. He needs a big ol' shiv.
Smasher
That's not true. Not true at all.
They also have monumentally important things that are never used.
Like having Bumblebee be essentially immortal in The Last Knight and no one ever talks about it.
No one ever says "Bee, you can't die. Run in there and get the thing that stops the thing that's being used by the thing."

Maybe DNA design will pull through?
MrNiceGuy
Buying an upgrade for a weapon he never even used in the movie.
It was however, super OP in the DOTM game. He could kill in 1-2 melee swings with it.
Girl Pants
Not bad, but honestly I'm more interested in a replacement hand. I worry about the longevity of the rubbery hand, plus some articulation would be nice.
SPLIT LIP
Probably would've been more memorable if he, y'know, used it.
But the TF movies are all about pointless shit that's never used.

Hard to tell from photos. Is this black paint on white pla or black paint and silver paint on white pla?
Smasher
So he had this in the movie?
It's hard to remember one pointy edge from a design that's nothing but pointy edges in a movie where every design is nothing but pointy edges.
BlueAngel_Bolt
Wow, finally something from them that I actually want
Snake_eyes1975
it looks nice..but I dont even have a problem with the rubber one it came with EXCEPT, that it is hanginf off his arm SO far..This does nothing to fix that, Id like to see it recessed onto the arm more. I dont remember it looking like it was held on by a toothpick..which is my gripe with the original rubber one, and this.

Doom blade from DOOM Eternal reference.
IndominusPrime
I see a lot of people saying the blade is "inacurite" and I'm wondering why?
I've been eyeing this upgrade for sometime because I'm thinking of picking up Shockwave in the future.
Also, maybe I'm excited for Doom Eternal, but doesn't he look like he could be part of the game? IDK, just a thought.
Olivus Prime
Had it been a direct copy of the original sculpt it would have been a no-brainer.
The rubber sword is maybe one of the worst accessories I've handled with a Transformers figure, nothing prepared me for how flimsy it is.
But they've gone with their own design rather than an accurate one so… probably a no go.

Stop working on this and get working on Devastator add ons!
Chaotic91
All that's left is a replacement hand hopefully with articulation even and he'll be perfect.
