“Gauging the Truth,” Part Two. Gauge’s understanding of the universe has gone topsy-turvy. Everything she’s been told-that she remembers-may be a lie. Or the mysterious prisoners that are appealing to her are the liars. It could really go either way… and it’s up to her to figure out who’s telling the truth.

Looks like the TF IDW Collection Vol 11 came out this week, too
T-Hybrid
Strongarm showing up in the comic had better mean she shows up in WfC. Been waiting for her to crossover from RiD.
Cliffjumper
Yea!

Post-MTMTE IDW in a nutshell (though to be frank, much of it before was going in that direction too).
And the comic industry is wondering why nobody is buying their products anymore…
The art actually makes me think of the Movie/Animated/RID tie-in Paninin UK comics, sometimes.
In fact sometimes the art in those was better.
Wish someone finally scanned them in full, I only ever found a few of them online. The writing was pretty good.

To each their own, I don't have any personal gripes against the current ongoing artists. I just think they shouldn't be working on something like a TF comic set in this era. We need artists (whether they be new or not) that shows the grand, empire-like, of the Transformers race before a war that will eventually be their downfall. So far this comic is a year old, and the art for this ongoing still isn't fitting that theme at all.
G1Prowl
And what about those that actually like the new artists?
Also, even Milne and Guido were the new guys somewhere.
SPLIT LIP
These books are so lifeless and formulaic I can't even believe it.
And yeah, Prowl as a prick is tiring. More than that, it really fails to establish IDW2 as anything new. It almost all the same character acting almost the same in almost the same story as how IDW 1 ended.
Focksbot
Prowl's one of the characters I admire the most in IDW1. He sticks to what he believes is best, despite everyone seemingly hating him for it. In SotW, his deepest fantasy is basically revealed as ending war and conflict, and finally having someone acknowledge that he had the right idea all along. For sure, he's flawed and arrogant, but there are few other characters so genuinely dedicated to the cause.
My strong impression is that they don't pay the writers and artists as much anymore, so people like Guido are simply getting better offers elsewhere. I admit this is largely based on how much they have leaned on Ramondelli over the past few years, who is clearly happy churning out pages for a very low rate.
TeamOptimus
Right? I think it was in issue ONE where they were already making references to Prowl the Prick. It’s tiring.
TeamOptimus
Ruckley is a wildlife buff (he even mentioned its influence on his TF writing) and it’s coming through in this issue again. I like it whenever he visits the organic side of Cybertron in the story. It’s one of the unique things about this particular version.
Lionheart
It's been 80 years…Finally…A new issue on the horizon.
GeoSociety
Man, the art quality in TF comics has really taken it's toll these past years. Instead of feeling like something drawn for giant robots in an upcoming war, it feels like it's drawn for a cheap webcomic for some obscure comedy blog. The first two panels with Prowl and Nightbeat feel exactly a gag webcomic too.
Why don't they use any experienced TF artists on this ongoing? Guido Guidi is still around, his peak artwork was probably All Hail Megatron. Alex Milne is around too, his artwork in Galaxies' Cliffjumper was great. What gives?
fishpop
I like Andromeda\'s design.
Green is cute, if unimaginitively named.
There was an animal preservation centre on Cybertron? Sucks that the keyword is WAS.
Bass X0
Prowl only became a prick because he was frustrated with the Autobots effort in the war against the Decepticons not being up to his efficiency. Before the war, he doesn't have any reason to be a prick.
axiant
Aww Do I sense a theme going on here?
The Autobots going soft for organic creatures
I guess this means Prowls not gonna be a prick
Bass X0
I guessed this preview was just going to have Transformers standing around talking and nothing else. I was wrong though, now they are sitting around talking as well. And what they talk about isn't very interesting.
BB Shockwave
Seems it is more of the same endless moping and nothing happening. Glad I stopped reading it. If even Prowl of all people cannot be motivated to do anything…
And they were so lazy, they used the CW art for Swindle and Generations toy design for Nightbeat, regardless of how those are Earth modes…
Sure, got a link to it?
