Transformers War for Cybertron: Earthrise is continuing the fantastic DNA of last year’s Siege line on the Transformers Generations front, and today we kick off galleries for it! We are starting off with the recently released Starscream and Grapple – both are Voyager scale figures with Earth based vehicle modes. Transformations are slightly complex without the need for a cup of coffee and a tech support call. Starscream’s vehicle mode is tight, very faithful to the original toy with no major gaps on the top of the jet. Grapple feels like a mini Masterpiece, like they started with MP Grapple and simplified it down. He’s faithful in both modes and fun to play around with, even comes with a claw accessory to move that rubble around after battle.
These are out now, with many other wave 1 figs showing up State side after a slew of trickle releases going back to last year. Last year was my first dip back into Generations in a long while, and I plan to dig into Earthrise again this year so stay tuned as more hit the wire!
Check out our galleries below. Check TFSource for your preorders because these things are moving fast!

That's part of the reason that kept me from going the MP route. I was always worried that I'd never be able to get my collection completed at that scale. In CHUG, there was a far greater chance I could find the more rare guys.

Excellent pictures as always. I am actually contemplating selling off most of my official and 3rd party MPs since WFC has given me a far wider selection at greatly reduced cost and all the G1 nostalgia. I can actually play with the kids and toss them all in a tub for storage without fear of breakage.

I feel honored to have my work compared to the best song, video, and musician of all time.

The header image of Soundwave, Megatron and Starscream makes me think of this video.

This. x10000000.
The CW toys do not combine well. Menasor uses same crap combiner design we saw in Power Core Combiners, circa 2010. That's sad. Hasbro did not push the design envelope, AND they used lower quality plastic that snaps more.
The result is bad design and poor plastic creating floppy mess combiners, which clearly suffer from being done on the cheap. I get the budget constraints.
But as u said, Devastator was done well. So go Titan, or don't bother, Hasbro. Making cheap combiners (sold at a premium to us!) is not a good compromise.

Not directly related, but was looking over the list of S1/S2 characters – and there are acceptable equivalents from WFC & SS86 knocking out most of the list. Especially the Decepticons. I hope that they get done properly before the DNA switch, whenever that comes. Got closer to my goals in 3 years than 15 with Masterpiece.

Excellent shots as usual, TONY_B.
Especially Netflix Earthrise Soundwave.

It picks up here and there in season 1, end is good.
Also, I can not stop watching your avatar.

I will say I saw half of season one I kinda like what I saw but it feels to much like politics crap in this in season one not enough fighting with more talking try to find peace that’s not Megatron way that’s prime way maybe action will pick up I won’t be bored watching end of season one. Maybe season two will make up with more action less politics talking crap
Shepard Prime
Thankfully, Earthrise Bumblebee at least wasn't mismatched and didn't have that awful yellow the earlier pics of him had. Tho' if I had to pick, I'd much rather Streaker get his color scheme right over Bee.
Arrogant Arachnid
The hell happened to Megs face

There was no book, just a postcard with generic info on the line meant for press that may not be as informed as we are.

Very nice pics! I'm curious about that Transformers book in the box.
Tony_Bacala
Agreed. I tried to capture the paint / plastic being completely mismatched in the basic shots. Depending on your monitor/screen settings you'll see the difference.
The ones with the ark BG are artistic so i pushed the yellows to match more.
But yeah, that sucks. Fail. Hopefully he gets redone later someway properly.

Sunstreakers paint looks good in those pics.. but in hand terrible

MP? or Mini-MP? So, so many options…

Tony must have some big, fancy, expensive cameras.
