Activision have updated their website with a list of their video games that have diminished or discontinued services. One of these games is Transformers: Dark of the Moon.
This third-person shooting game, released in 2011 on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, will no longer be able let player to log into the multiplayer servers. Other offline features will still work though.
We hope fans could enjoy this game on time. Click on the discussion link below and let us know your impressions.

Ich habe gehört dass das der Multiplayer angeblich für die Xbox 360 noch funktioniert stimmt das?

Well that sucks. DOTM multiplayer was never anything spectacular but it was just plain old solid WFC gameplay with movie skins and I could appreciate it. RIP to Ratchet, Sideswipe, and other multiplayer exclusive characters.

I am actually impressed that the servers ONLY NOW went down.
Godzilla Ranger
How active were the servers even?

I would expect more to go as Activision looks at its balance sheet to shore up all the losses from Blizzard Entertainment. They will know within 18 months if WoW gets shut down as they are on life support with the next expansion. They took a hugh balance sheet hit recently so stay tuned!

It’s all about getting on at the right times. Like for instance, in the evenings. Especially on weekends.
ROTF and FOC are still surprisingly active. I am able to find 1 full lobby + an additional lobby on average. WFC, still infested with cheaters, I still have a lot of clean friends who play the game regularly.

Theoretically yes, finding enough players for a match is another thing entirely.

Hmm… there seems to be some confusion going around here.
ROTF, WFC, FOC, and ROTDS’s Multiplayer servers are still up and running. DOTM is the only one so far to be affected by the recent changes so you can still go ahead and play them

I think all MP games should come with AI bots. Two of my favourite games last gen were Lost Planet 2 and Tron Evolution and I can go right now and play simulated matches offline thanks to bots. If ROTF had them I'd still be playing – the same with WfC as I miss Escalation.

Surely they’d want to sell people the right to manage servers/buy a server? I’m not very aware of the legality of something like that, I could be wrong.

DOTM is underrated. I had a surprising amount of fun in the multiplayer mode. I found it more enjoyable than FOC's online.
But eventually cheaters found exploits and ruined the game just like WFC.
Besides that fact, the multiplayer only had 5 maps to fight on and not enough characters. Very flawed. But the combat was much improved from WFC. Most characters had varied melee animations. You could actually play as the characters in the proper colors which was cool, and the controls for the tanks and jets were interesting. Also the vehicle ram damage actually worked. Basically it felt like a nice hybrid of WFC and FOC. But I guess even that was too prone to exploits, so we got the dull-as-dirt FOC multiplayer mode.

Not my fault consoles are inferior

I'll pour you a cup, after I redownload my copy of FoC on PS4!

Might want to just moisten your mouth with water in the meantime.

That’s not how that works…. if you bought the game , you can play it. I bought WFC and FOC on pc a while back and can still freely play them despite the license running out. License just means it won’t be sold anymore and becomes impossible to BUY.
I’ll take that tea now
