I think a Crossover with Jem was actually considered at one point though I don't know if anything ever materialized from that(A Transformers crossover was considered as well and that actually happened though who knows)

A company not owning something has not stopped them from collaborating a cross-over with other things. Certainly MLP could cross over with Rainbowbrite, Care Bears, Strawberry Shortcake etc. for the right price.
Jem fans are in fact getting a reproduction of the Integrity Doll line soon. A retro MLP/JatH would not be unwelcome.
While practically retired they could make an attempt to at least briefly revive Moondreamers and Fairytail Birds, which they do own.

Haha, no worries, I’m mostly just kidding. There is a certain “look” that became associated, whether fairly or unfairly, with the school (a bit after my time) and permeated out through the industry. But when I was there there was a huge range of different styles from very talented folks, and never a sense that the school pushed a certain look. If anything, I think some people might have been influenced by what was popular at places like Cartoon Network and Nickleodeon at the time. Kind of a chicken-and-egg scenario.
Though you are right about the general lack of piles of money.

Haha. I mean, I think you have to take it like a slam on Harvard or Yale except without the piles of money they have to sleep on.
It's an elite program and so it gets blamed for trends.
Most of my ire is directed at the Iowa Writers Workshop program. But I love their poets.

Hmmm… as a CalArts graduate, I’ll try not to take this personally…

I think older fans might actually buy into a PURE GEEEWUUUUUN MLP, Transformers, Jem, MASK, Visionaries, Inhumanoids, and/or G.I.Joe crossover.
Not the screwball Mars Attacks take but something where you get Christy Marx, Marty Pasko, Marv Wolfman, and Floro Dery's clone to do GEEEEEEWUUUUUN. Like, so GEEEEEWUUUUN that the story centers on Hector Ramirez, who was in the G1 TF, ARAH, Inhumanoids, and Jem cartoons.
And while I think some IDW talent like John Barber could get on board with that, it's waaaaaaaay outside IDW's wheelhouse.
I mean, they could have very justifiably approached their last reboot for WFC as a Sunbow and/or Marvel redux because that's what the WFC toys themselves are designed to look like.
Why did they reboot Visionaries or MASK before? I DON'T KNOW. It's not like they even had much continuity or anything too embarassing to escape. If your concern is that Visionaries is a bunch of white guys, do COPS. Seriously. Much better franchise anyway.
But I feel like IDW's brand is fairly young and modern and they actively avoid anything fogey-ish aside from premium hardcover art books and newspaper strip collections.

I'm not offended. I just thought since a Transformers/FiM crossover comic is around the corner, these crossover MLPs would use the template for FiM ponies.

And I will despise every bit of it.
I'll go full Space Marine on their asses of they even dare commit such heresy!

I have this weird feeling Beast Wars could get a Teen Titans Go/Thundercats Ho style reboot that kinda meshes with modern MLP.
The dreaded "Calarts" and/or Adventuretime and/or "Rick and Morty" approach for Beast Wars. A fully Homer Simpson take on Primal who tries to get people chanting "Munky not trukk" when he runs opposite an unseen Optimus Prime for leader of Cybertron. Rattrap, unchanged, becomes the only responsible or halfway serious member of the team.

MLP/DnD makes sense as a crossover, since My Little Pony n Friends was a Fantasy-Adventure show.
I like the shading on the muzzle of the Minstrel. The hair sculpting on the Barbarian and the masked pony remind me of the tails in G1 animation.
I showed these to my daughter and she thought they were cool. She wants a pack too.

Go each their own. G4 is where I entered ponies so it's what I'm partial to myself!
Venixion
I'm grateful that they aren't. I'm so sick of that ugly style, these look far better. Its high-time for MLP to go back to their roots stylistically. Good to know Hasbro finally remembered what horses look like.
Whomps
Yeah, especially after that one episode I would have liked to see toys of these
Darth Gonzo
Can they make a MLP Rom figure?
PlanckEpoch
Awww. They look good but they're not in Gen 4 style which is a bummer.

Maybe, but I think Hasbro is doing this because it's cheap and easy, and crossing over with a Mattel brand or two is probably the opposite of that.
Besides, I'm not 100% sure collaborating with typically boys-centric brands from the 80's and early 90's is that off market for My Little Pony anymore. I'm sure it will have it's appeal to a good chunk of the consumer base of all of the brands involved.
