hadn't tap-out died in the galvatron special (heart of darkness)?
amongst other things..
oh wait.. he was ressed by galvatron
which means .. he was then turned into a swoop and then into the decepticon demigod.. and then killed by megatron… i assumed

You know i stopped read IDW\'s transformers run (sadly) for many reason…and heres a few more.

When your entire comic is people talking, so the filler special isn’t particularly different from a regular issue.

I don’t think Ruckley could write a decent Transformers book whenever the story is set. He’s dragging the story out for way too long without really making any progress. If it had been condensed a lot, each issue would have been more interesting.
octobotimus
Oh no, it could easily be made interesting, just the ones writing this have made it as you said "boring, stupid, and makes no sense with its head so far up its political ass". I think the issue is that they drag things out too long, don't add any action, despite pre-war Cybertron having fucking gladiatorial arenas, and try to drag it out without thinking too much about the world. A form of Politics has always been in TF, this comic just seems to fail to make it interesting. If you got the right people, pre-war Cybertron would be really interesting, but unfortunately, we didn't get those people…. maybe we'll get a show one day that actually shows off Megatron's rise to power properly…..
SPLIT LIP
I guess they want to make it for damn sure that nobody will be reading by the time it gets "good."
I think this series has shown us exactly why pre-war Cybertron is almost never explore din Transformers: it's boring, stupid, and makes no sense with its head so far up its political ass. Transformers is already a hard sell to anyone but hardcore fans, making it this plodding and mind-numbingly dull isn't going to help.

Your image isn't loading for me.
I'd like to get clarification for what you mean.
I think in many comics there is a NOTHING WILL EVER BE THE SAME event, but then everything ends up being the same.
For better or worse, I do think that All Hail Megatron did change everything.
Read any issue of Simon Furman's work and compare it with any issues of James Roberts' stuff -opposite ends of the spectrum.

We lost mtmte, rid and lost light etc…for this horseshit…so far the new comics have been boring as all hell, and now this. Sure, those lines had this, but they had more action, better dialog, and much MUCH better artwork. This is just, sad.
Hyoumaru
The writing staff hasn't changed or anything.

in the last 10 years games workshop has made a business of making special (expensiv'ish) paints that would help a cow paint like Rubens. Moreover, shading and dry painting are the point of this marketing strategy..
seriously im terrible myself.. but that bee mold shines (as far as you change its colour)

First, sir, I have no idea what you mean. Don't most US schoolchildren look like this?
Also, I don't think it's a suspicion at this point. Almost every comic in existence suffers some kind of soft reboot or something where everything gets shaken up and NOTHING WILL EVER BE THE SAME. It's the comic version of HPV.
Issy543
The war hasn’t started yet, but given what’s happening with in the last few issues, it shouldn’t be long until it happens.
Also, Sonic the Hedgehog has had plenty of action within the series. Sure, it’s not always the main focus for some issues, but it’s there. Last issue had Sonic and Tangle fought some infected people.
octobotimus
Or (please correct me if megs has actually started a war already) they dump a ton of action when megs full-on starts the war. Maybe that's the idea? set up a slow run getting characters across and then having a bombastic event for the start of the war?
ProtectronPrime
If any comic should never have standing around, it's Sonic.
"GOTTA DISCUSS FAST" doesn't have the same panache.
Smasher
I don't get it.
I liked The Lost Light as much as anyone else, but at times it got a little long in the tooth with all the romance, the robots sitting at the bar like characters in Cheers, and absurd looking human avatars.
After the reboot I was looking forward to seeing some action and adventure again.
I am still looking forward to it although I doubt it will ever happen.
What I suspect is that they'll do an "All Hail Megatron" reset where all of a sudden it seems like a totally different continuity -but the editors will tell you it's not.

PREACH IT MAH BROTHA!!
Hyoumaru
Welcome to new IDW. Their Sonic comic is suffering from similar problems.
Shade 20×6
This seems to be a growing trend in comics. The current X-Men run has a ton of standing around and talking. Probably one of the reasons the industry is in the toilet right now.

Art's good.
it’s almost hilarious how Apeface is like “Time for FIGHT” and then after Tap Out blocks his fist and misses an uppercut, is like ”never mind this is already lame."

On the next episode of: "Robots Standing and Talking" …
– "X says something smartass and witty"
– "Y disagrees and conveniently exits scene for some apparent reason"
– "Even though these robots all have vehicle parts, they won't Transform for another four issues!"
– "And, of course since we have no story to offer anymore, SHIPPING!!!"
