Courtesy of Robotkingdom we have images of the new Masterpiece MP-19+ Smokescreen (Anime Colors) packaging and Collectible Die-Cast Pin.
This new Smokescreen release comes in a cartoon accurate deco which means most of the original release logos and details have been taken out, but the final result will sure look as the Smokescreen we remember from the cartoon. The packaging is the usual horizontal box featuring the Long Life Design logo of previous Masterpiece releases and showing him in both Nissan Fairlady 280z-T and robot modes. The back of the box shows all the new accessories which include a pair of great smoke effects. Additionally, we finally have a look at the new collectible die-cast pin included for the Asian market.
Check out all the images attached to this news post after the jump. MP Smokescreen + is already shipping and you can still order yours via our sponsors’ links below.

Use a proxy service like From Japan or Buyee and keep your eyes on Yahoo Auctions Japan. I got back into collecting and picked up all my + versions on there, actually getting Prowl and Wheeljack delivered on Monday.

Not such a bad idea, though I won't wish for anybody to have to sell off their collection because of financial problems.

With the economy in shambles I would set an alert on eBay. Somebody is bound to sell off their collection.

If you're patient there is a chance but no telling when. They clearly pay attention to demand of which there is clearly much.

Doubtful unfortunately. I missed out on Bluesteak MP-18+ so I feel you
Dead End14
Any chance we'll ever see a reissue of this?
Dead End14
Wow I totally missed your post. I'm guessing you don't have him anymore?
PoweredConvoy
Not on mine.

Thanks! Got mine all cleaned up. I am absolutely LOVING this deco.

Yeah, that was covered about 4 pages back. I had wondered the same thing. To summarize, the ones from HasbroAsia have the stamp printed on the right inner leg. Simply use 90% alcohol and a cotton swab and it’ll come off.
Eastlosautobot
Mine has the same…honestly, I never really noticed it or if I did, I simply forgot about it.
jackisking
i got mine from pulse too, that's just the Hasbro stamping
Dudicus
Sorry, I misspoke. It’s on his RIGHT leg. Mine has the etched code on the left leg as well as this white printed code on the right leg.
PoweredConvoy
Here's mine. I've had mine for forever.

It's there, but the picture somehow it doesn't show up.

Hey man, this sounds new. I don't recall seeing it on my copy but I'll check it out later today then circle back with you
Dudicus
Resurrecting this thread because I just got this guy from Hasbro Pulse, and he has one of those product codes printed on the inside of his right leg. I haven't seen this code on any other copies of this toy I've seen in pictures online. It looks like the surface it's on isn't painted, so I should be safe to remove it. Did anyone else get a code on the leg? Anyone have any experience getting rid of it? Because it sure is an eyesore.

So glad you finally got yours. Got mine from Surethingtoys a few months back. Smokescreen+ is gorgeous. I recommend dipping his droopy cannons in hot boiling water , IMO it’s gentler on plastic than a hair dryer’s air. If that doesn’t work, try Viagra.

I finally got an MP-19+, he arrived yesterday.
For the record, I had originally pre-ordered him from surethingtoys.com but ended up cancelling after they had several delays. I decided to give them another chance since they have Smokescreen+ in stock now and I’m happy to say I had no problems with the order. It was processed and shipped normally and arrived packaged well. I just wanted to put this info out there for anyone reading this who experienced problems with their 19+ pre-order through Sure Thing Toys and ended up doubting their validity.
Now, on to Smokescreen himself. While I’m still partial to the original version, I love the colors on this one and the faces are great. The smoke effect is very nice in-hand as well.

G1 Smokescreen was my first carbot as a kid, so I’ll be keeping the original MP-19 in my collection and I’m glad to have Smokescreen joining my MP Cartoon bots.
My copy does have a few problems though. Some paint flaking off in a few places upon transformation, some minor blemishes on a couple of the faces, and… well, his shoulder cannons are… drooping…

I see from other posts in this thread that others have had these issues. I’ll try to fix the shoulder cannons with a hair dryer, but if that doesn’t work I might see if I can get an exchange.
In any case, this is another MP+ figure I’m glad to have in my collection.

Nah , i will cover shipping
Dead End14
That might also result in big shipping costs, I fear…
