Shout out to 2005 Boards member Analogue for sharing the first US retail sighting of the Transformers BotBots Goldrush Games Series 4 Claw/Gumball Machine Surprise Boxes!
Found at Target located at 6480 SkyPointe Drive, Las Vegas, Nevada, 89131, with a retail price of $19.99 + tax.
This marks our second sighting, with our first reported from Taiwan in the last days of December 2019.
As a refresher, there are two Claw Machine and two Gumball Machine boxes, and each pack holds ten surprise balls containing five regular BotBots, four stickers, and one rare Gold BotBot.

I ordered 2 of each from Amazon. I got both of the Gumball assortments, but they sent 2 of the same Claw Machine assortments. Damnit!

Yeah, #1 and #7 are the golds in the single packs. The Home Rangers 5-pack with Roarista & Whirlderful contains Goldie Rock. And one of the 8-packs will contain Game Golder, but those aren't out yet so we don't know which one.

There's a different gold figure in each of the 2 different Claw Packs and each of the 2 different Gumball Packs. If you're going completist, you will need all four.

How do you tell the two variants of each set apart? Is the set of colored balls in each one consistent so you can use that to ID, or is there a code # on the package like the blind bags and Arcade Renegades?

It's a bit confusing, but no, it's not. Game Older is the redeco of the Skillz Punk game cartridge from Series 1, part of the "Retro Replays" team. He's available both in one of these special packs and in a single pack.
Game Golder is the gold redeco of Game Over that you're thinking about. It is the only Winners' Circle Series 4 Botbot not accounted for as of yet, which means it will be in 1 of the 8-pack blind bubbles. Since those have yet to come out, we don't know which one.
You won't need codes; look at the ones in the transparent bubbles and you'll be able to tell which pack is which. For example, the packages pictured above are the two you want (one contains the Cobbler i.e. Claw Machine #2, and the other contains Crumbly Yumbly i.e. Gumball #1).

Interesting to see these at Target when the Arcade Renegades were never stocked there. Might get Claw Machine #2 and Gumball Machine #1. I just hope that these have codes somewhere on the box to tell them apart (like the number under Sweet Cheat on the back of the Arcade Renegades box).
