Skynet and Cybertron collide with IDW and Dark Horse announcing the Transformers vs. The Terminator monthly series, coming to your pull list in March 2020.
TRANSFORMERS VS. THE TERMINATOR brings together three longtime TRANSFORMERS contributors (writers David Mariotte and John Barber, and artist Alex Milne) with writer Tom Waltz (fresh off his celebrated 100-issue Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles run) for an epic crossover that revisits the concepts of alien invasion and time-traveling resistance fighters… but twists them in unexpected ways!

Doubt its gonna happen. If it was going to, hasbro would have dropped the toy back when the comic came out.
And with the idw/tf contract expired, there's no point crosspromoting the now 3 year old comic.
And Terminator Dark Fate likely sunk the film franchise for the next decade or so.
Damn shame. I liked those Alex Milne designs. Especially Mustang Arcee and the HK Seekers

So I just discovered this crossover recently and read it online. Really enjoyed it and hoping we’ll see a figure or two in the ongoing crossover series. I have Ghostbusters OP & Ecto, Gigawatt, and JP and would love to add a 2029 Starscream as an HK-Aerial!

I don’t speak for the OP, but I think it’s mostly to do with
Geez, T2 is just too perfect of an ending, isn't it? It's like every time someone tries to avert its message, everyone calls foul on the effort.
Addendum: another complaint would appear to be how the newcomers are just thrusted upon us and we're expected to care about them, but there’s little time dedicated to developing them personally.

You … didn't see the movie BUT you called it a piece of shit? Get back to me after you've SEEN the entire movie.
Danny-Boy
The Ghostbusters crossover was part of the IDW comics continuity, which is based on the movies, not the cartoon.
BIOMEC
Hyper realistic robots with G1 transformers?! That doesn't seem to work… Maybe if it was a crossover with the Bayverse, then it may work a lot better.
artiepants
i didn't personally see it but almost everything i read about it said it was a bland near-remake of the first 2 that squandered it's legacy characters while not really giving you much to root for/care about in the new characters.
(hey, just like the Star Wars sequel trilogy)

Just thought I'd like to wish a Merry Xmas and happy holidays to all.

Some people, being sexist and homophobes, said the exact same thing. Not saying YOU are but mind explaining WHY you think the movie is "shit"

I’m wondering if they do a toy to go along with the comic if they could try something like the T-800 being a Headmaster and then have the body as a terminator vehicle.
BlackRazak
Terminator SALVATION had the Harvester.
That fella had Scramble City style leg bots (mototerminators!) and was a combiner!
The Harvester is the closest thing we got to Fortress Maximus!
(Mototerminator<Harvester<HK Ship)
And everytime you post, @Grand Slam , i feel like i need to visit a Denny's. Yum!

Arcee can finally be your literal heroine…in more ways than one…

For me it doesn't work in that direction. What makes Ectotron better than the Star Wars line is that it's an iconic alt mode that transforms into a new robot. Trying to shoehorn an iconic human/cyborg into a robot mode has never worked worth a damn, be it in the Star Wars line, Street Fighter, etc. All of that said, there is still opportunity here, because there are the Terminator vehicles from the future that would be ideal. Not sure if they'll show up in the comic though.
edit: This and this

I'd love it if the Beast Machines Vehicons appeared in this one. Obsidian and Tankor's alt. modes resemble the Hunter Killer drone machines respectively.
also maybe Lockdown just cause Lance Henriksen appeared in the first Terminator movie.
Blunderzag
Beast Machines style G1 autobots cross over with the matrix
I would be cool with that

Hey, if you enjoy cynical cash-grabs, by all means consume away.

-TF vs TMNT
-TF vs The Walking Dead
-TF vs Back to the future
-TF vs Sonic since IDW has handled with Sonic

That’s great new crossover event but terminators is almost useless against transformers all need to do step on them what human will terminators go after spike will skynet try hack transformer get one on there side be interesting good almost useless like to see justice league transformers , aliens vs transformers, dang it where is transformers vs Star Wars series
Sovietbot
Totally agree with you! Any sane would be against such a crossover. Already better with G.I.Joe than with a pony!
