BEAST WARS! is back with another Masterpiece offering in MP-46 Blackarachnia. BA was always one of the Beast Wars characters that didn’t translate well from toon to toy form (or vice versa), and until now, never had a really good show accurate offering. That changes though with MP46, as she hits all the notes in both modes. Engineering, paint, sculpt, articulation, accessories are all there and on point. Anyone have any good paint matches for the gold on her robot mode hand? mine has a little chip, and due to my extreme pickiness I am trying to learn to fix minor flaws like this rather than buy six of these things to get one with no minor flaws.

I actually had all my BW MPs out earlier, and man this line is fantastic. Each one is damn near perfect and they look so incredible together.

I never got to talk about this and, since I can't find a recent Beast Wars appreciation thread, I guess here could be a good place for it.
Got MP Blackarachnia last year and this is pretty much where the price of MPs start increasing. This is especially obvious when you compare it to the previously released MP Cheetor that is a bigger figure and yet, is cheaper. Sure, Blackarachnia comes with more accessories to compensate for that but I don't believe is enough to justify it.

The beast mode is… not the best. I think that has been said several times by many people but it always need to be repeated whenever you see it. Is just not successful at depicting a believable animal, especially compared to the previous BW MP releases. Yes, this was the clear sacrifice because of the mode that most people are going display her but hey, one can always wish for something better isn't it?
And this is indeed "something better". Masterpiece Blackarachnia's robot mode is one of the most successful, if not THE most successful, robot modes from the entire line. Is just the perfect representation of the character from the show from basically any angle and the amount of accessories she comes with manage to depict many of her most famous scenes. Articulation is also pretty good as expected and scales beautifully with the rest of the line. No complaints here whatsoever, many of my previous complaints seem worthless now in fact.
I'm still deciding if I should get either Lio Convoy or Tigatron for my next BW MP purchase but I guess I will get the former since that's the easier to get right now for me because of this goddamn pandemic and import issues (Despite that Tigatron is no doubt the better looking of the two).
