Via popculthq website, we can share the full preview of the upcoming IDW Transformers Galaxies Issue #3.
The Transformers Galaxies series is an spin-off of the new main Transformers ongoing series 2019 featuring -favorite secondary characters and their background story and the first story brings us fan-favorite Contructicons and Devastator, of course. On this 5-page preview, we can see Devastator’s past rebuilding Iacon after the war, but sharing a Combiner mind seems to be too much for the Constructicons to control.
This issue is expected for release on November 27, 2019. Read on to see the mirrored pages as well as the great Cover A by Livio Ramondelli, Cover B by Winston Chan and Retailer Incentive Cover by Angel Hernandez. After that, share your impressions on the 2005 Boards!

Livio Ramondelli on Instagram: “Bound for deep space, the Constructicons take one final look at their beloved home as it fades into the distance. Page from Transformers…”

Just here to nitpick.
Is one big, dumb, clumsy super-giant robot really better for construction than 6 skilled, specialized not-so-giant robots? Who's the idiot who decided that Devastator was a legitimate engineering platform?
Though, it does call back to something from the old G1 Devastator bio… "Devastator has many of the abilities of his component parts, but is somewhat limited in their use by his limited mental functions and awkward form." So, hypothetically, Devastator could use all (or most) of the special abilities of the Constructicons, but he's too dumb and clumsy. I guess that's something we don't see that often… combiners using the individual powers of their parts. Could be cool.
Sure, it's interesting to see inside a combiner's mind, but I'm a bit disappointed here. Complex synthesis of minds, simplified blended personality, weird quirks and psychoses, repressed emotions, etc… and the best way they could come up with to visualize this is 6 guys yelling at each other in a closet?
Boo.

No Devy we can\'t lose you to the Decepticon side this early!

I like these inside the mind shots.
It's always cool to see what is going on in the psyche of a gestalt.

Excited for this issue, need to quench that IDW thirst.

That's what it makes me think of
Knightsword
Maybe Strika, while the legs are different, the upper body looks a lot like the deluxe Generations Warpath figure and that toy was reused by the club to make her. And since she was retroactively made the large pink female Autobot that appeared in the G1 episode Five Faces of Darkness, part IV, this could be a new design based on those elements.

Is there a figure that femme is based off of? I swear i recognize those details

This page is awesome! I really love this series!

Really like the art here. Props to Livio, this is miles beyond what I recall seeing previously.
Spartan Prime
That Wheeljack head is atrocious.

Livio proved time and again that he is a painter best suited for non-robots on very large canvas and not panel work… which kinda works here since these are all giant splash pages. But whenever he has to cram things into panels, it fails again.(Though I have been wondering whether someone else is doing lineart for him on this comic, as the characters actually have distinct outlines now and are recognizable!)
That said, the writing saves this comic, it is still the most interesting thing IDW produced in the (more than a) year since the reboot. I wonder how/why Devastator went berserk, which is I assume why the Constructicons were banished.
His coloring never had problems, but he tended to paint over the sketches of robots he barely outlined before. I have a suspicion that IDW assigned someone to do the lineart for him uncredited, same as how DW had people re-ink Pat Lee's sketches. It just looks too detailed for Livio's style who likes to muddle things with colors, unrestrained by lineart..

It\'s beautiful…
Battle eRector
That headshot of Wheeljack is stunning.

I've made many critical comments on this board of Livio's work, but I think this is much improved. I can easily see the artwork and recognize the characters.
2Sixshot
I just met livio at a convention. Really cool dude
TranslucentBag
I agree but the problem is the true orders (granted we only have a month to really look at) don't seem reflect the improvement of the work.
