Why doesn't Cliff just tell him that killing the locals is wasting a renewable resource?
Fenrir Zero
Good to know! Right now I am debating about getting the TPB when it is up for preorder. I no longer have an eBay account and they want me to set up a new one. So I am going to skip the idea of having his current 1st appearance issue be part of my collection. Plus his, like the other Minibots, appearance should have been limited to sniping and spy work. Which is why I often favor Soundwave when it comes to any effective form of leadership.
And for the record I don't realy like most of the Tom & Jerry cartoons. They made episodes where Jerry was the villain in the story and still treated him like he was some kind of hero.
What I aid was that he was referencing a typical "small guy beats the big guy in a fight" conclusion. Not the "small guy outsmarts the big guy without the use of any real force" conclusion.

Damn, Cliff got Koichi-ed
YoungPrime
…………………Looks like the dreaded predictable Tom & Jerry ending is what I got. I would've respected CJ going against a lower tiered Decepticon (Maybe Snap Dragon since his figure is coming soon) and it ending so conveniently. But to rant further is to actually care….
I doubt I'll buy anymore of these books.
trence5
Yeah, that ish is getting really annoying now.
Jeeze, can they just get over the whole Casey Kasem thing? The man's been dead over 5 years now .
kaijuguy19
With how Deathsaurus is written in IDW 2.0 so far I can see him being a major baddie in his own right that's just as a threat as Megatron if not more so later on. Wouldn't be a bad way to give him more exposure character wise in the brand overall too.
BB Shockwave
So this again goes the route of "senate was corrupt and Megs was right all along "… except here it seems Deathsaurus and the senate are doing the same thing Megatron did in most of G1, enslave organics and exploit them for energon.
At least hey, this Cliffjumper is still more interesting than when … Shane or Chris was it, I forget, or Costa, who essentially made him into an unbeatable badass who saves alien elf girls from whole armies of decepticons… off-screen. Then he disappeared and like the Scrappy Doo he resembles, was never seen again.
YoungPrime
Whoooooa! I wasn't implying that I wanted CJ to die!
I just don't want him and Deathsaurus to be an episode of Tom & Jerry either…. Deathsaurus is Megatron/Galvatron/Straxus/Ratbat/LiegeMaximo status. H3ll, I don't even think that CJ should be squaring off single handedly against Starscream or Soundwave either.
The rankings in the beginning of G1's cartoon had more respect IMO. Bumble was basically a child. CJ was a slightly older child. Brawn was a tough acception but so was Rumble when it came to mini's. So the premise of this story is already a little off putting.
BUT, I still bought issue six for the sake of having greater interest in Deathsaurus (didn't like his cartoon though) and I'd still like to see how this ends. I'll read it during my lunch.
Fenrir Zero
That is true. But the rest of what you said does not have you say that he could win any other way. So that "if" of yours sounds more like you are saying that Cliffjumper will die. Not that he will find a way to win. Which is why I responded by pointing out that he will win. Just in the manner your "if" states.
cj37a
A perfect end.
YoungPrime
…………………………… But I said "if" though.
Nitroc
Thank you for the nice welcome!

I truly miss the days when comics were also made to promote toylines.
But in all cases why does Cliffjumper have to defeat Deathsaurus by physically beating him? Granted that the story will end with Cliffjumper obtains notoriety, but doing so physically? My chips are on the idea that he wins by outsmarting Deathsaurus. With the obvious villain escaping so they could possibly consider doing an IDW-style version of Victory. Giving 3P designers a valid reason to make his figure first. And then see what Hasbro designers come up with down the road.
2Sixshot
ayy nominus prime. Glad to see him get some attention even if its only a pannel. I wish they had a prime series where its like spotlight but for the primes.
YoungPrime
Wow reading all these "Poor Cliff" replies must mean that I truly am a Decepticon at heart since I feel like a predictable ending is coming. Which IMO is beneath DEATHSAURUS. Especially if writers use some lame way of allowing CJ to physically beat Deathsaurus at the end of this story. I said before that a Con like Deathsausus should be a greater threat to Autobots anyway. Someone The Wreckers, Lost Light or Dinobots should be looking over their shoulders for. And not just shoe horned in this story for the sake of CJ trying to win a damn Bumblebee Award.
Speaking of Bee…It also feels like they all clearly know that more and more people are getting sick of Bee's un-Gee-wun-ish popularity and yet they're just trolling us at this point.
Anyway route for CJ all you like, if this results in Deathsaurus getting a legit figure (Voyager, Leader or Commander class) this year or the next then I'll let the obvious pass and value him as I see fit in my collection after a buy on sight!
