We have a very unexpected Japanese exclusive item to share with you. A collaboration between Takara Tomy and Japanese Rock Band “Bump Of Chicken” brings us Sonic Blue Bumble & Exo-Suit Chama.
This figure is part of the special goods offered for Bump Of Chicken fans as part of their “Aurora Ark Tour 2019” promotional campaign. It is a pale blue redeco of Titans Return Bumblebee mold and Excelsuit Spike (included with the Takara Legends release of this mold). Bumblebee also features the band’s logo and it was designed with the help of the bassist Yoshifumi Naoi, also known as Chama (I think you got that reference). It comes packed in a closed box similar to the Takara Tomy Legends products.
You can order this figure via the Bump Of Chicken Website for 4000 Yen ($37.00) only during two days: November 3 and 4, so we bet this will be one of those Japanese hard-to-find items. Additionally, an officially licensed T-shirt featuring Sonic Blue Bumble and the band in anime style will be available too.

Just got my hands on my copy and uhh… for some reason, the whole waist section has its paint all screwed up, and the edges or it are pretty much totally chipped off. Anybody know where I can go to find a replacement for one of these things or am I doomed to stick with this FUBAR copy?

This.

Just received notification that the second batch of Bumblebee figures are shipping.
You may remember that these went up for pre-order sometime ago.

Ahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha….*breathes*…….Ahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!
No.

The Legends Manga that came with Big Powered was insane, Universe Razorclaw, BW Neo Unicron, Golden Lagoon Prime, The Vok, Dark Nova. So much gleeful homages that actually tie up loose ends from the tail-end of Japanese G1.

Had I gotten an answer on the validity of that fig, I would've bought three when they were going for about $50-70.

It’s pricey but I couldn’t resist. I missed out on getting the old unreleased Henkei classics Bumblebee back in the day. Never is a long time, maybe this bump of chicken version will be KO’d and more affordable down the line, you never know!

Since that will be the benchmark for the forseeable future, I've made my peace with never owning this.

Saw on the bbts thread that they are offering this for preorder at $99.99

Y'all I gotta be honest with you, this would be pretty much the only thing I want to happen to my band anymore, and I'm both mega stoked and kind of jealous
Love that comic. Does anyone else love how much backstory and work TT puts into even the most random repaints of stuff? If this existed here it'd be "oh look, here's a new-colored Bumblebee with a band logo on his tummy" but here's Trigger drawing a comic about Bump of Chicken helping Bumblebee survive a spaceship crash.
Also the fact the spaceship is clearly his G1 Cybertronian design makes me sad again that we didn't get a toy of that in Siege.

Bump of Chicken is finally beginning to ship those who ordered the first time around (before they opened preorders back up for March 2020 delivery).

SonicBlueBumble? sounds almost like the hedgehog.

Man, this is rather awesome to see Trigger artists worked on this comic.

I wonder if Dr. Wu can be pursuaded to do another run on their Bumblebee Blaster accessories – perhaps in dark Blue this time ?

Yeah. FromJapan is an awesome resource. Bunch of these going for sub $100 (although figure about $30 extra for the service and shipping).

Not so far. If you can navigate through the page you could use a forwarding service to get one. That's what I did.

And still no way to get this for the US goers besides Ebay or some other shizz?
