Courtesy of Loopaza Mega Store we have our usual doses of Figure King Magazine Scans. Issue #261 shows some extra images of War For Cybertron Siege (Featuring Astrotrain), Transformers Cyberverse, Masterpiece Movie Jazz & Masterpiece Sunstreaker Reissue
This month we have only 3 pages of Transformers content:
- War For Cybertron Siege Astrotrain – We have a special gallery of Siege Wave 13 SG-47 Astrotrain showing off all his modes, weapons and accessories. This is the only Siege release in March for the Japanese market.
- Transformers Cyberverse – More Spark Armor toys are hitting Japanese shelves with Elite Class Grimlock & Trash Crash and Battle Class Ratchet & Blizzard Breaker and Shockwave & Solar Shot, and the big Ark Power Optimus Prime.
- Masterpiece MPM-9 Jazz – Popular movie Autobot is coming soon for the Japanese market.
- Masterpiece MP-39 Sunstreaker Reissue – The Lamborghini Autobot will be available once again. One more chance to grab it for a fair price.

13200 yen

Does it say how much Sunstreaker will be? Does that say 3200 yen or 13200? Or Neither?

Be careful, using logic and reasoning like that will get you labeled as a corporate shill/sheep or bootlicker on these boards

Hasbro listens, so if they get repeatedly asked for an increase in size they will make the increase the priority thinking that that is the fan's priority but their profit margin or line wide gimmick will not change so repeated requests for SIZE will change the priority from complexity and quality to SIZE alone. I don't think anyone wants that. also note, that sometimes the costs of production or spread across several figures, such that individual figures may suffer for a more elaborate figure of the same size class. I think Leaders are moving to a higher quality price point as opposed to size, see Studio Series Shockwave, while I'm not a movie fan that figure is doing things for me.
Just be careful what you wish for.

I am exhausted. Siege Astrotrain is super cool and I cannot wait for you to buy it.

This is a poem, a one sentence story.

Grimlock could be anything, so he chose to become the Trash Man.

Just to chime I LOVE the new Leaders. Love Magnus, love the cargo and deco on Astrotrain and we are getting a proper Prime with trailer! If you don\'t dig it that\'s YOUR opinion and is cool. But some of us actually feel like we\'re getting more. I much prefer the WFC Leaders to anything in that size class from Prime Wars except for SixShot and that might change once he (hopefully) appears in WFC.
I\'m in this for toys and to feel like a kid, they\'re doing that and I\'m all for it. An oversized Blaster, half assed PMOP, ridiculously out of scale PotP Leaders etc. might work for some, but for me they usually mean more money to spend elsewhere. Don\'t have to agree of course, but my vote is for Hasbro to continue kicking ass on this line at least until the trilogy is over. This is the best Transformers has been since I was a kid in the 80s.

Keep up the SIZE fight so we can get Cyberverse style leaders or even better plain old Soap Bottles.

Leaders are leader prices because they should resemble leaders, not midgets. You can put 300g of diamond dust in that box, there will still be a Leader missing.
Without proper leader figures any TF toyline is crippled. It's the second most important size class, after Deluxe.

No shit, that's what this whole forum is about!

I guess that's the problem, I don't feel the higher part count for Astrotrain adds enough value to the figure.
If they had done a better job with those extra pieces for Astrotrain, I'd have no problem buying him, but a crooked launch pad and a huge pointless backpack don't seem like awesome added features.
Also, I just don't like their basic plan to squeeze voyagers into the leader slots by adding extra bits in the first place.
I'd rather they just pick leader sized characters for those spots and save the voyagers for the next wave or just figure out a different way to do it. They got by fine in the past without this switcheroo trick so ld rather they just release them like they did in past lines.

The Leaders are leader prices because of the higher parts count. The fact that they're shorter is irrelevant to budgeting. Without the extra pieces, sure they'd be sold at Voyager price. If they were designed from the ground up at leader class, then they'd be the same price but without the extra pieces. While nobody is being overcharged, the fact is most people would just prefer to buy the figure on its own but Hasbro has a limited number of Voyager slots they can develop for and none of these Leader characters characters fit at the previous taller Leader size.
If paying more for some pieces that don't affect the main figure at all means we get to have these characters at their proper size, then that's a compromise I'm fine with. Some people are going to complain (some of them are valid), some people are just plain cheap and others will complain just to complain.

Exactly. I waited and got Shockwave for $28.50. Just get them on sale.

tigatron2002 -"Then this thread is obviously not for you and you should probably take a break from reading until it becomes more in line with what you want again, because all of your complaints are subjective opinion and not objective fact. "
Teehee!
But seriously folks, I love siege but I do think the voyage sized leaders are bullshit. I didn't mind Shockwave as much since the accessories made more sense for spaceship mode and made cool weapons, but as much as I love the bot mode of Astrotrain the extra car is just a useless hunk of plastic that they hope we won't mind spending 20 extra bucks on.
I do mind though and actually decided to cancel my preorder for it and just wait for it to go on sale like Shockwave has. It's just not worth 50 bucks to me.
just my opinion.

Joking aside…let's not bicker about the toy and let's be respectful of others' opinions

Oh Jesus, time to abandon this thread it's all over.

Actually I’m not upset. I’m rather annoyed by people trying to insult me by using words like triggered, but honestly that just shows their age and level of maturity.
sorry if I misjudged your opinion on siege, it just gets tiresome reading so many complaints that the leaders should have been voyagers, it’s been the bulk of every conversation about both shockwave and astrotrain and it just gets old reading it over and over
rikkomba
You are clearly upset, and let's leave it at that.
But you are wrong in saying that Siege is not the toyline for me: I love it, and I am a huge fan of the UM/Galaxy OP mold. Technically the only figures I didn't like in the whole line are Mirage and Astrotrain, while, Shockwave, despite its problems, is still $20 of awesome.
