It sure took some time after our first reveal of the new Bumblebee Movie Model Kits By Trumpeter and now we finally have some new images of their Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Shatter, Blitzwing and Soundwave Prototypes.
The images surfaced via Capcomkai on Instagram and we have a closer look at these model kits revealing that they will be articulated and with a nice amount of detail. According to our first report these figures will be around 15 cm and 10 cm tall once assembled. Trumpeter is known by their detailed military kits on the market and this is their first take on the Transformers franchise.
It is still unknown when they will be released, but stay tuned with TFW2005 for more updates. Click on the bar to see the mirrored images on this news post and then let us know your impressions on the 2005 Boards!

someone asked a worker at the expo and they said they plan to release Prime this year although I wouldn't get my hopes up since they are still unpainted 2025 is more likely

Which big Bumblebee?

This is accurate. I've built Trumpeter ship kits for a couple decades now. They move at a much different pace then the toy market. The modeler and the toy collector are a different animal. I'm predominantly a modeler that strays into the toy world for transformers, it's somewhat odd to me still to see Transformers inside Trumpeter boxes.
BlackHawkOmega
that's a very good point

LOL yeah nothing is better than eventually
keep in mind this is not trumpeters primary model kit line
VVa
That makes more sense. Perhaps it's also due to them underestimating the popularity of the figures.
The Factory
The issue isn't that they're small. They also produce a lot of model kits of WWII and military vehicles all the time. The problem is they kind of shot themselves in the foot because they weren't used to engineering kits that pose like action figures. If they're having a hard time getting the small ones out, I can't imagine how long it's going to take them to actually mass produce the larger ones. It's such a shame because they have potential to become a highly praised line, but the long release dates are hurting them.
VVa
Unfortunate that they're not quite large enough to produce more quickly.
BlackHawkOmega
true but i think just canceling it is far worse than just waiting, even if it is a long time between releases.
VVa
So is the wait.
BlackHawkOmega
i think that's a bit much.
VVa
They should just cancel the line. It's gonna be decades before they actually do anything.
BlackHawkOmega
it's easily the most frustrating thing about this line.

Yeah I’ve been waiting to see more of their smart kit ROTB Bee, but by the time that releases, the next movie will be out
Zoo
Not a huge bbm guy so only thing i got and liked was tlk bee. Was excited for hotrod and optimus but…
VVa
I was so hyped for their stuff at first, but at their pace it's hard to care. It just seems random whenever they release stuff.
SPLIT LIP
I still can’t believe how long it’s taken Trumpeter to release these things.
And that big Bumblebee was shown off years ago.
VVa
They already take damn long enough releasing 3-5 inch figures.
