Transform Element gets the back, but actually does not match it on the lower half. It's missing parts to take liberties for a vehicle mode, which honestly feels just as in the same boat as MP-44 in terms of quality, removing the price tag factor everyone so gladly states. In terms of actual realism, MP-44's gaps match the truck more than even MP-10. The front is very realistic, but I can easily say that the Back is too chunky for a truck, even by Cab-over standards.
As for Zeta, I hear nobody's pre-orders have been cancelled.

Transform Element 01 sure gets pretty darn close though, and not just from the back. That figure is all around really close to animation accurate in both modes, albeit a little more detailed.
And as far as Unicron goes, we already saw that Zeta was able to pull off a pretty kibble free and screen accurate Unicron robot mode that still transforms directly into the planet using a lot of the actual robot mode surfaces as planet surfaces rather than hatching a big egg and wearing the shell. Of course the sacrifice there is that Zeta's planet mode wasn't nearly as great as Haslab's (and could end up looking even more inaccurate with the bot mode colors on the planet mode), but for me, bot mode is priority.
Also, considering accurate scale isn't going to happen anyway, I just want a Unicron figure to be big, which 19 inches (Zeta) still is.
And yes I know as of now Zeta's is still basically canceled. I'm just saying it shows something different and subjectively better can be done for a Unicron robot mode, making this one and it's price even less appealing to me.
So yeah, I still feel like that armadillo shell on Haslab Unicron and the other loads of kibble just ruins this bot mode so much that if someone were to give the figure to me, I'd sell it immediately because I'd way rather have $600+ to buy other stuff. I don't think I'd ever be able to proudly display Haslab Unicron in bot mode without the price and kibble punching me in the nuts, and I can't justify a great looking Unicron planet mode to display at that price either.
"Huge" isn't enough to make me jump up and down.

Honestly I think I subjectively don't think it's bad. He's had a big back more often in the show, and if we really want to be specific, no toy of Optimus that was designed to transform has ever matched the Reference Sheet, and even then he's gotten multiple, like the AKOM sheet.

That back puts TMNT to shame…

Ah OK thanks. I still think they could improve the hands a good deal though.

Having now seen Unicron in person while planet mode is beautiful there are too many issues in bot mode such as expose screw holes on one side of the arms/ legs.Parts look like they will break if you look at them wrong. With that no order from me.
GAUGE
They seem like they might be about as big as the little "Genericons"(as I call them) that came with the TYCO Transformers Train Set.

It\'s funny that the largest transformer toy ever will come with what are assumably the smallest transformer toys ever

So some observations I made almost instantly.
This particular Prototype is a bit different in minimal ways compared to the first one that way saw during SDCC.
It's most def a different prototype. It's like they went back and fixed a few things. The fingers for instance. The have more points of articulation in this Prototype than the one shown at SDCC.
Also, they made an Autobot Space Shuttle but not Galvatron's Ship? that's a bit strange.
I'm going to try to spend the next few days comparing photos from both Prototypes though. because I know I see some differences for sure.
The hole at the top of the chest for instance. It used to be just some super deepass hole. Now it's got a red bit in there to fill it up.

and a bunch of retailers are yet to put in orders. In the Unicron thread theres interestingly even a source that says 1 site alone has around 900 orders that are yet to be added.

Still a lot of people

As a backer I'm hoping like mad that this gets funded, but that Galvatron and Hot Rod are no way in scale. They should be like grains of sand to have any chance of being in scale. Also I can't see the extra articulation in the hands and am disappointed that the fingers can't splay outwards like on the latest large 3P figures. That would lend some useful extra expression as I feel Unicron's hands are a major expressive part of his character as they reach out to claw at Cybertron.

It still is
When we are less than 1,000 away? Right….
SaltSalterson
I can predict that this ain\'t gonna get fully funded.

Ah, I do remember seeing it detached. Think I was hoping for a mini Revenge to go on there…

I thought working on my Transformers and losing a screw in the carpet was an issue. Those look like a grain of rice
Omegax80
This is being released no matter what at this point. I wouldn't worry.

And people thought MP-44\'s kibble was bad…
rikaldomario
Damn those figures are tiny! I may go ahead an straight up tape over them onto the base.
Gonna need a magnifying glass to really appreciate them!
