A pleasant surprise to behold on Hasbro’s Unicron page this morning as the backer count has jumped to (as of this post) 6,797 out of 8,000 over night!
This of course leaves us in need of only about 1200 more backers between now and October 6th. Additionally, Hasbro posted to their Instagram and Haslab Unicron page new features and accessories for the Chaos Bringer:
- Unicron’s hand articulation count going up from 6 points to 15! A difference of small joints, but an update that will nonetheless add that much more personality to the Chaos Bringer if he makes it.
- Hot Rod, Galvatron and Autobot Shuttle new to-scale figurines. Now you can recreate the epic 1986 movie scene where Hot Rod defeats the menacing Planet Eater!
- Premium posable headstand. Now you can display Unicron’s dismembered head in all its glory. The headstand also features posts to pose the included mini figures.
Don’t forget that we had already reported the Galvatron Mini-Figure And Interchangeable Beard Accessories. If you’re on the fence due to whether or not Unicron will even be fully backed, now may be the time to lend Goku Hasbro your energy for the final push as the campaign nears its end.

I still can’t get over how much presence this guy has in planet mode… just awe inspiring!! The rings make him come across as even more massive!

Yeah agree and disagree. I got in for the crowdfund (and should have purchased 2!)
the shell forming definitively has its pros and cons. And agree a by product of the shell forming is a bulkier figure (more presence).

The backpack is tremendous but I think it adds to how bulky the figure looks and I quite like that.

A bit late to this but my god this has to be one of my favorite looking pieces. I'm completely willing to buy one of these even now for over 1k and that has to say something about how impressive the figure is.

Thanks
The list I found said it was made by krylon… but I guess that was an error?
I've seen some on YouTube use tamiya for transformer customizations. If I can find a close match in a spray I'd give it a shot.
In the meantime
6-pack has changed a little direction. Decided to go with a combination of the ab delete and ab shell. I like how the design is going but my prints keep screwing up. Try try try again
