That's kind of a bold statement for a customer rep to make.

And yet it seems only BBTS was told this.

Don't try to order the Selects from online stores. They are "Pulse EXCLUSIVE".

Hello,
Thank you for reaching out to us! In regards to your question, Hasbro has chose to make those Pulse exclusives for the time-being, initially they gave us the go-ahead to post the first round of listings, which we did, then they told us to pull the listings down temporarily for a few days, which we also did, and now it's been about a month since the initial listings were posted and they have not given us the go ahead and instead communicated with my Products Team that, at this time, will keep the Seacons as Pulse exclusives.
Just a heads-up as well, they are not selling those officially through any other suppliers so be wary of any store that says they'll be getting those figures as they may not be obtained through legal means/may not be officially licensed through Hasbro. So as of right now, we are not getting those yet but honestly, I'm fairly confident that Hasbro will make them non-exclusive after the initial hype has died down. Apologies for the inconvenience, I hope you're able to secure those items!
Let me know if you have any other questions or concerns, I am always happy to help.
Have a great day!

Kellen

Lol this is so true to today’s toy market.
UltraMagnanimus
Yeah, I agree so I just went to eBay and picked up the TR apeface head for bot mode, in case scalpers realize there's a demand and start raising the price on it.
Found one for 5 bucks!

Still going to get him. I just wish they would chill on the silver battle damage. Those legs are border line ridiculous.
Autobot Spike
Come to think of it though…. I think Skullcruncher had to change his pilot location too, right? Doesn’t fit in the mouth like the original?

The things that most people complain about with Apeface seem like no brainers for HasTak. If nothing else, the Headmaster should be able to ride in the cockpit. It does make you scratch your head on where they decide to cut corners with certain figures. That said, I am going to buy him anyway and if the white comes out in that milky pearlescent color, I will be fully painting it.
UltraMagnanimus
Yeah, the hand painted prototype does look better and the waist swivel and fake cockpit suck……… but its still an APE THAT TURNS INTO A JET…….so I have to get him cuz, y'know, its the law 'round these parts……..
Autobot Spike
Sorry… I meant cheap-quality?

No way I’m not buying Apeface, but I’m expecting to paint him. Maybe that magazine just has an early sample
YoungPrime
Yeah, it looks incomplete…..missing a paint job. I keep saying the more pictures I see of this figure the worse Apeface looks.
It was to the point where the only thing I liked about him was the bot mode and now that looks disappointing. So the last Siege figures I'm definitely buying in December now are Spinister, Ratbat and maybe that Battle Patrol Con Set that connects in vehicle mode.
I still think he was originally a TR figure that they heald back for whatever reason until now. I would've given the light gray/off white pictures of him a pass. But that cheap white they're showing us now is a dealbreaker. Thus making it the only Seige Voyager that I'll be skipping at retail.
MrUniqZ
This is my first thought when seeing that photo. He is supposed to be light gray semi gloss. And I’m not feeling the battle damage. It was Springer brushed style I’d be more approving.
Mega Prowl
If you're looking to buy Apeface, he won't be cheap, hell, I've seen Galaxy Upgrade Optimus Prime sell for $25.00 at my local Walmart, Leader Class figues are supposed to be expensive, and now they're demoted to being just a measly $25.00, didn't they used to be more than that!?
Autobot Spike
Damnit – why does Apeface seem so cheap-looking suddenly?

Mega Prowl
Dang, I wonder where Apeface will be sold. I really want this guy so bad.
TranslucentBag
I’m still getting Apeface but I’ll be breaking out some grey or metallic paints to fix that white torso. That just makes him look like he’s made of marshmallow fluff.
User_124141
Seems as Apeface has a bit bright colors in his chest, would wish that paint was on his arms also
TargetmasterJoe
The webpage has a typo. "Nautilor" should be "Nautilator". Could a mod come and fix that?
