Generations Selects Cromar Sighted at Canadian Retail

Thanks to twitter users Shinji_McNally and not_on_twitta, we have a special sighting for Canadian collectors! Powerdasher Cromar, a retool/repaint of WFC Siege Sixgun, has been spotted at a Toys R Us in Burlington, Ontario! According to the shelf tag, deluxe Powerdasher Cromar runs for 29.99 CAD. In addition to being our first sighting of this figure, this is also our first in-hand look!

When is Cromar hitting US retail or online preorder? I have the other 2 Powerdashers and just gotta complete this team. Plus I have a weaponizer combiner in mind and need another of this mold.

Quick update: other Canadian TRU locations have had Cromar ring up with an October 4th street date, resulting in them being pulled from shelves.

Hopefully they'll show in Quebec then.

The original Japanese Diaclone version was simply named "Sky Dasher".

He was also named "Cromar" in Joustra's "Diaclone" line that was available in France and other parts of Europe:

In Italy, he was originally released by GiG under their short-lived "Diaclone" line under the name "Bomber", but was later re-released under the "Trasformer" line as part of the "Scatter" assortment, also named "Cromar":

Those little pilots look so nice on them. Wish these molds had seats. At least they are full of 5mm holes so I can put a Titans Return gun on them and seat titanmasters.

Have Select been found at Canadian retail before?

EBGames Canada just released Nightbird and Zetar. Preorders shipped Friday. Retail locations will have stock this week.

I hit up 3 TRU stores this weekend and none have this little guy in stock yet. Hopefully this week.

The tolerances on Cromar are much improved over Sixgun. Honestly, the plastic feels more premium than Sixgun’s, but maybe I’m just making that up because I like him better.

He definitely looks funnier….

your logic is flawed.
A: generations selects dont have a windowed box, so even if they were on the shelves you wouldnt be able to see the item.
C: hasbropulse.com currently has two options for free shipping, pulse premium or orders over $50 so shipping costs can be negated

1. I said "if". I know the Selects aren't window boxed.
2. Highly doubt I'll be ordering $50+ worth of product from Pulse. Mainly because they're currently sold out of the figures I want.

Is there anywhere to get this from the UK?

I suspect Kapow and In Demand Toys will have it after it's publicly announced at SDCC in 3 weeks time.

I suspect someone has jumped the gun here and ignored a date on a box or a box of these ended up somewhere it shouldn't!

I would.
At least with items on shelves, I can:
A. Actually look at the physical item if it's a window box
B. Buy it right then and there without having to wait several days for a package
C. As a result of B, no shipping costs, which saves a few dollars

how do you know they're guaranteed to sell out? and would you rather hunt them down on shelves than having a guaranteed purchase online?

I would.
