While back in June we reported a new Official Transformers Kentei (Proficiency Test) for Japanese fans. The test is offered via Japanese Website Kentei Uketsuke, known in Japan for offering tests and certificates for an enormous amount of categories (from how much do you know about rice to otaku knowledge).
The official Takara Tomy Toys Twitter has announced that all participants in the test will receive an Exclusive Commemorative Optimus Prime figure. This toy is a slight redeco of the Energon Igniters Speed Series Optimus Prime toy with extra shiny blue paint on the legs and side windows, a complete silver stripe the truck sides and silver feet.
The proficiency test will be taken this upcoming February 16th, 2020 in Tokyo and Osaka. There are also some extra cards and special goods for all participants too. Click on the bar to see the mirrored images of this new Optimus Prime variant and the amazing promotional art for this test by artist Kazumasa Yasukuni. Then share your impressions on the 2005 Boards!

I kinda want it. But purely because I can't have it!

Huh, okay.

Well, that's just it: you can't. The only way to take the test is to be proficient in Japanese and to be in Tokyo or Osaka for the test.
Chronix
I wouldn’t participate knowing they’d give me that thing at the end.

We could get Kentai Bumblebee, who is a redeco of Speed Bumblebee.

Woah, I'm digging this art of Bee Movie Prime. Is there are a clearer version of this out there?

For people still curious, basically in Japan, there are "proficiency" tests for almost everything. Most of them are at least semi-useful as resume fodder and they like, but some are just for hobbies, interests and the like or are gag tests.
I had a student in Japan that collected certifications because he thought they were funny. He was particularly proud of his "Color Matching" and "Whiskey Tasting" certifications.

Oh yeah how do you translate the site? I’m on IOS by the way.

Alright! Got them all right without needing any translations. Guess my Japanese isn't as rusty as I'm leading myself to believe.
Haha, that's actually a thing, though not nearly as recognized as I'd like. Like speedcubing for Rubik's Cubes but with Transformers. If you're interested, see if you can beat my record for transforming ROTF Leader OP.
Digger
Fuck yeah I got time to spare.

That would be fun!

Zero, because he never asks "kindly".

I thought it was going to be a test about how adept you are at transforming a Transformer. Like round 1 is transforming the most complex TF figure in 15 seconds or less. Round 2 is transforming 5 completely mistransformed TFs in under 30 seconds. And so on.
