Mr Michael Lindsay, who became part of the Transformers franchise as Skid-Z and Rollbar in Robots in Disguise 2001 cartoon, passed away last Saturday, according to several Twitter posts.
Besides his roles as the fast and cheerful Autobot Skid-Z and the serious Decepticon Rollbar, Mr. Linsay was known for his work in several anime series like Akira, Code Geass, Zatch, Naruto and Bleach. One of his most remarkable roles was as Joe Kido and Greymon in the original Digimon series. You can read more about his career on this article on Comicbook.com.
We offer our heartfelt condolences to his family and friends.

It's a shame, Rollbar was my favorite of the Commando, since he was the only one who had a mouth and could distinguish his expressions hehe…

I enjoyed RID '01 immensely. You will be missed and your passing will leave a hole in our community but not in our hearts.

Unfortunately, his fellow cast member Robert Axelrod just joined him as of yesterday. To paraphrase Pulp Fiction, Zedd's dead, baby. Zedd's dead. RIP.
Of the RID Commandos, that just leaves Richard Epcar (Armorhide) and Neil Kaplan (Ro-Tor).

RID was one the first TF show I got to see as it was airing and part of the reason I love it so much is the voice cast of which Lindsay was an excellent addition and he will be sorely missed.

By some horrible coincidence I just started rewatching Digimon for that good ol childhood nostalgia. Absolutely love Greymon's voice. As we say, till all are one.

Ah, man, RIP, sir.
This is why we need to have more cast reunions at TFcons. Not just G1, but the other shows too. I mean, they could probably do a G1 reunion every year at TFcon LA because the cast is huge. So it'd be impossible to get ALL of them at the same convention. And they are the oldest alumni by far, so ya know, clocks ticking. That is assuming there's a TFcon in LA every year. Which I honestly wouldn't mind. TFcon LA was great and there's lots of stuff to do outside the convention too. I even came a day early and stayed a day late and I still didn't have time to do everything I wanted to.
But yeah, I'd love to see a Beast Wars reunion, obviously. Some of them have already passed away. We already lost Campbell Lane(Rampage) and Larry DiTillio(writer). So a reunion for them would be awesome! Probably at TFcon Toronto since a lot of the cast was Canadian.
Although the same goes for the other shows. I've felt like it's getting close to that time when Armada has it's resurgence. It'll be the 20th anniversary in a few years. Again, that could be another Toronto TFcon because most of the cast was Canadian.
There's a lot of Transformers voice actors I think are overlooked. Yeah, it's always awesome to get some of the bigger names like Cullen and Welker at the show. But wouldn't it be cool to have RiD Optimus and Megatron at a show too? Or how about the voices of characters like Sky-Byte and Scourge? Characters so memorable they've gone on to become part of other iterations of the franchise.
