Hasbro Pulse uploaded a new video featuring Ran Sun and Ben Montano from the Transformers Design Team fielding your questions about the project. Remember, this Chaos Bringer still needs your support to reach the 8000 strong backers so #UniteForUnicron here!
Will there be a payment plan or deadline extension?
No intention of changing those, definitely continue to listen and will look for opportunities to potentially adjust that in the future.
Will this Unicron have lights and sounds?
No, it does / will not. The focus is to make the most accurate Unicron; perfecting the conversion between modes.
Are these final colors and deco?
What you have seen is a prototype, the best representation of the color intended for the final toy, materials will change in final production.
How long has the team been working on the Unicron project?
This started back in early 2018, over a year and a half.
How many joints are in each of Unicron’s hands?
Six joints in each of the hands.
How many points of articulation?
50.
How heavy is Unicron?
19 pounds, not including the weight of the stand.
Does he shed any weight from one mode to the next?
No.
Is he compatible with other War for Cybertron toys?
Yes, we added extra 5mm weapon ports and 3mmm blast effect ports across his body.
Can he stand without the stand?
Yes, it is still recommended to be used during conversion.
The team is following all online comments and questions about this Unicron and encourage us to stay tuned for some “new additions” based on special requests, hopefully to be revealed during the crowdfund’s final week!

I still can’t get over how much presence this guy has in planet mode… just awe inspiring!! The rings make him come across as even more massive!

Yeah agree and disagree. I got in for the crowdfund (and should have purchased 2!)
the shell forming definitively has its pros and cons. And agree a by product of the shell forming is a bulkier figure (more presence).

The backpack is tremendous but I think it adds to how bulky the figure looks and I quite like that.

A bit late to this but my god this has to be one of my favorite looking pieces. I'm completely willing to buy one of these even now for over 1k and that has to say something about how impressive the figure is.

Thanks
The list I found said it was made by krylon… but I guess that was an error?
I've seen some on YouTube use tamiya for transformer customizations. If I can find a close match in a spray I'd give it a shot.
In the meantime
6-pack has changed a little direction. Decided to go with a combination of the ab delete and ab shell. I like how the design is going but my prints keep screwing up. Try try try again
