3P Company Mech Fans Toys have updated their Weibo account with the gray prototype robot mode of MS-20 Iron Sky (Legends Scaled G1 Astrotrain).
Mech Fans Toys had already showed the space shuttle and train modes, and now we finally have a look at the robot mode of this Legend scale take on Astrotrain. We have a very nice cartoon-accurate and posable robot mode with only 12 cm tall.
We still have no concrete information on release date or price, but stay tuned with TFW2005 for more updates when it’s available. Click on the bar to see the mirrored images and then join to the discussion on the 2005 Boards!

Just got this figure in and after one day with him, I love him. He's a great little figure and way easier to transform than the Siege version, and with better alt modes. Can't wait for Blitzwing to arrive so I can have them together.

Can someone request a repaint of this guy in Star Dasher of the Star Seeker's colors? Thank you.

i really like that little mech so i may grab another one of these.
Rewind
I was surprised when I noticed the b&w version actually has translucent windows as well, but the plastic is so tinted they may as well not be.

Same. I got it for a friend of mine, and got the toon version for myself because it had clear windows. But I always preferred the black-and-white color scheme. Kicking myself for not getting one.
Rewind
Glad to see a reissue. This is still my favorite Astrotrain figure out of all of them. I only have the black and white version so I’ll use this reissue as an opportunity to buy the mold again. I can always use more MFT power suits, too.

The white one is really tricky to find now, annoyingly! Wish I'd got him when he was doing the rounds.

i believe this reissue is based on MS-18 which was meant as the G1 US TOY version and includes the toy sculpted head and extra toy head for MS-20B that is the G1 Japan TOY release colours in black/white, which only came with a TOON sculpted head. but it looks like they swapped the two purple rifles for the grey/white ones instead.
there was another MS-18C reissue version i think didn't come with the extra toy head for MS-20B.
MS-20 was the initial release as the TOON version.
shame they didn't resculpt the container for the extra power suit to look like a coal car to go along with the locomotive train mode.

Will definitely have to keep an eye open for this reissue

There were 3 versions of this mold. One was toon, one was toy (outside of the white one I think they had too) and this, which was mixed and numbered differently from the rest. It was harder to find and seems to be this version. I don't remember a mech being included though. Please correct me if I'm wrong anywhere.

Aha, thanks for the clarification!

MS-20 is Astrotrain, MS-26 is a set of Sharkticons.

Mech Fans Toys MS-26 Iron Sky (Legends Scaled G1 Astrotrain) Gray Prototype Robot Mode – Transformers News – TFW2005
Does this old article have a typo and Mech Fans Toys Iron Sky is in truth MS-20 as the thread title currently says?
Has the ID number MS-26 been used for anything itself?

Should be plenty around on Ebay etc. It's "just a common Gobot"—–named Loco.

That's actually cute. Where can I get one?

Schrodinger's D-51: that toy both is and isn't, a D-51 loco just like G1 Astrotrain.
(It's totally got a D-51's details and a scheme similar to the most-famous D-51's mid-late 80's look, even the nameplate says it is—but it's also blatantly a 4-4-0…)
