Via Previews World we can share for you the new IDW Transformers #11 Retailer Incentive Cover By Guido Guidi.
And this cover brings us Quake in all his glory in a great G1 Marvel comic retro style. It seems we are having more reveals on this issue.

Ordered this off of mycomicshop.com. I left the regular cover sitting on the shelf at the store.

Every time I see Guido's work in official media I wonder why the FUCK he isn't the primary TF artist. His stuff is AMAZING. He can draw in a 'vintage' style or a more modern one. His layouts and storytelling are amazing. He can draw humans on-model. Just PAY THIS MAN.
How much better would the first 10 issues of this ongoing have been if Guido drew them? I mean FFS. The opening arc would have gone from below average to above average just on the strength of the art really SELLING the script. The characters wouldn't be perceived of as 'flat', even with the exact same dialogue, simply because they'd be so EXPRESSIVE.

For a moment, I had the audacity to think, "I hope someone from Hasbro is reading this," but then I caught myself and let reality sink in. No one there is going to own that they made a mistake, so the franchise is going to just deteriorate a bit, at least in the comics front.
On the off-chance I'm wrong, please take heed, Hasbro people: please rethink your strategy. Good stories and good art sustain interest in a franchise, not blatant marketing.

Well, I asked my lcs guy if he was getting this. He said no because he doesn’t order enough. Furthermore, he used to have over a dozen customers ordering TF comics but now he’s down to 2. I’m one of the guys that stopped getting them. This is the reason why I roll my eyes so hard I sprain my face whenever someone says idw1 brought in new “fans”.

Gorgeous cover, as expected from Guido.
Then you open the comic and the artwork is terrible.

It must be, that's literally the only explanation I can come up with for why he's not doing a regular book. What a golden god.
SPLIT LIP
I think both have one continuous tread, but they conform to the shape of his legs, so because his left leg is bent you see the tread straight across the two angled sections, versus his right leg where it bends inwards at the knee to match the angle of his leg's armour.
Prime Noble
Quake was one of the better G1 toys. I had him growing up but traded him in a few years ago though I kept Tip Top and Heater who I've given to Titans Return Quake. Their robot modes are similar in size to his Titanmaster Chasm.
Guido Guidi is easily one of the best Transformers artists. I loved his work in Regeneration.
MehWave
I'd buy that series in a heartbeat.
ProtectronPrime
Seriously. Where's my 5 part mini where Galvatron powerbombs Strawberry Shortcake and then DDTs her right through the Technodrome, IDW? Get on that shit.
Bisto Yeti
That's amazing!
Always loved my Quake figure as a kid.
Battle eRector
With Matchbox cars standing upright as generics!

The best stories got told on the living room floors of our childhoods.

when i was but a lad i never had a megatron or galvatron figure…..instead quake was my decepticon leader. he was just a badass tank.
Battle eRector
Okay, Quake is one dude that I always loved purely because I had the G1 toy but now he seems to be getting some attention and one of the best covers of recent history. This is amazing. Full appreciation for him wielding all three guns!
Hadlen_Weltall
There is more action happening on this cover than there has been in 11 issues…
dj_convoy II
Tremendous cover.

This cover has reminded me that there's surely a Quake to be made from Impactor, and I'm pretty sure Rung would work well as double-battlemasters. A shame, then, that Singe and Shrute are already damned to the other molds.
ProtectronPrime
Just an awkward angle is all. The art style also doesn't lend itself to perspective.
Soundslave
I see what you mean, yeah I'm just dumb.
